How to Restore the Right Click New Microsoft Excel Worksheet Context Menu Option

If you find that you are missing the right click New Excel Worksheet option then there are some things you can check on your computer to see if you can get this context menu option back.

Here is the path to check for the EXCEL12.XLSX file.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
oot\vfs\Windows\SHELLNEW
Then make sure you add this path to the value data box if you need to make the new String value.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\VFS\Windows\ShellNew\excel12.xlsx

In my case The path was C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office oot\vfs\Windows\SHELLNEW\EXCEL12.XLSX

Under Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, select the .xlsx folder. Confirm that the value of the default key of the .xlsx folder is set to Excel.Sheet.12 (it should match the name of the folder your ShellNew folder is under).

i dont have .xlsx but i have exelsheet/exel.sheet.12/shell/folders edit and new/folders command and ddeexec/topic and thats it do u have idea what to do 😖?

This doesn't work for me. Probably 'cause I uninstalled Office, but I have SoftMaker installed, which supports and can make Office files.

the video is very helpful but Am not expert and i see you already have excel in your right click it would have been more useful if you did not have it in ...than you make this video it would be greater
