How to restore your Makita impact driver unit DTD152's functionality | Power Tools Repair

Welcome back! Today, fixing my Makita DTD152 impact driver. Issue: not working. Checked brushes - all good. Checked switch, found a smell. Tested battery - voltage, but no action. Got a new switch, soldered on spring. Installed it, aligned components, tightened screws. Adjusted and checked terminals. Despite cosmetic issues, it works now! Hope this helps others. I had a problem with tarnished contacts in the battery screwdriver. I moved the battery out a bit and the screwdriver worked. So it's not always the fault of the electronics!!!
