Morin Huur Happy holidays. When restringing, if I take off the strings, I shouldn't hold the instrument by the neck since the Neck & Body are connected only by the string tension.

The tuning isn't restricted to F and Bb right? Cause I have seen them tuned to D and A or D# and G#. Am I right?

Mostly the range between the notes are the important thing in Central Asian instruments.

Morin Huur Hi there, the Strings are made out of Horse Hair, I'd choose steel because they're more fun.

The point of horse hair strings is that they sound completely different. Steel strings would ruin the unique sound.
