A close up view would be helpful. From what i can gather, you have to pull a pin out before adjustment, but i can't pull the pin out on mine. If you showed a closer view of what you're actually doing, it would be easier to understand the process.

Hi the glass of my pool gate has dropped at the latch side, any tips on how to correct this?

Hi, My problem is the gate doesn’t close anymore. I have to lever the hinge with a screwdriver to be able to close the gate. Do I need to loosen or tighten the tension in the hinge in order for the gate to close properly again? Do I do what you’ve shown in this video to fix that problem or is there something else I need to do? Cheers Ben

Hi Ben, there are a few possible reasons why the hinges are not closing. The hinges could be out of alignment, they must be square and on the same plane so there is no friction. The hinges could be at the end of their usable life and need replacing. One or both of the springs could have failed or rusted inside the housing. A simple way to test them is to remove the gate assembly and check the operation of each hinge and see if you can tension the hinges with no load. If the spring is rusted or broken the hinges are a sealed unit and cannot be replaced. I hope that helps

@@jasonterrill3056 Thanks for getting back to me Jason. I have. Feeling the whole gate frame has “moved” a few mills and that’s caused the problem. I think I need a professional to come and sort it out. The screws are impossible to shift on the latch itself. It probably 10 years old. I’m in Sydney.
