Some good advice there guys. Just one thing about the Convenio Especial, I paid 60 euros up until I was 65 when it then went up to 157€ a month. Thankfully at 66 the S1 kicked in, so now my healthcare is free. I also think learning the language is really important, we don't live in an expat area and all our doctor's appointments, vehicle purchases and many other things are all carried out in Spanish, we'd really struggle otherwise.

Very good video and definitely invaluable for those who haven’t lived outside of the UK before. After four years in France we’ve at least got a head start in European ways and how they differ somewhat to what we’re used to. Hubby has an S1 and I piggy back on to that so anyone who has a partner of pension age but they’re not yet pension age themselves shouldn’t worry about it as the one S1 will cover both.

Hey Guys.. Thanks for Taking the time to put this Video together ..If you remember Shaun I was one of the people who informed you that someone replied to one of my questions regarding the S1 and was told that it Had/Was Now Stopped? but i had other people answering that Lady to say it was still very much in effect...I did read in one of the news papers recently that the Uk Government are looking to get Closer Ties With The EU Again although that did not involve going back into the EU...and maybe easing certain current restrictions in the EU...Not sure what that will be going forward but the word on the street is an easing restrictions for Already Retired and Over65/66 receiving a Uk State Pension. .Not sure if that means lowering the Current Monetary Threshold requirements or Not ...Not Seen anything since despite Searching high and Low but will keep an eye out for any news on that Front..Perhaps you have or may of heard something Similar? Looking Forward to the Follow up video.. Thanks again👍

be fluent in the langauge of what ever country you choose ,this is probably the most important ,the number of brits that move abroad & make no effort to learn the language is astounding
