I retired 7 1/2 years ago at age 62. My wife retired 2 years later, also at 62. To date we have not touched a dime of our retirement savings. We having no problems living life with zero changes in the things we do, on nothing but our Social Security. The key for us has been going into retirement debt free. It also helps that we own our own house so basically we pay taxes and maintenance for a place to live. I like to tell people it's great to live life as a thousandaire.
