It's very important to consider the fees associated with investing in indexed universal life insurance contracts.
@RoseBalerusАй бұрын
Absolutely, I've been researching these contracts, and I've found that the fees can vary significantly depending on the insurance company and the specific contract.
@John-ww2fvАй бұрын
That's a great point. I've been considering investing in one of these contracts, but I'm not sure where to start.

That's certainly not very good math for the investor. Great math for the insurance company though! By the rule of 72, at a 10% rate of return, that $2M would double every 7 years. Over the next 21 years, $2M would turn into $8M. Why on earth would someone pay $2M for a $5M life insurance policy?! The $2M is already earned. Even if the investor dies, his heirs still get the money and the growth continues as long as the principle is untouched. Buying the life insurance policy you describe is basically equivalent to handing Mass Mutual $3M for nothing.

For a fully funded IUL, can I borrow the yearly 10% for retirement, or should I withdraw it? Is there a limited amount for borrowing?

This is awesome! 👍🏻👍🏻Reminds me of how I got to over a million. I made my first million investing 250k in stocks trading, with the help of a licensed finance manager I met at a finance seminar in NY who trades for me.

If these accounts are life insurance contracts, isn't it crucial that applying for these policies + death benefit we need to be in near perfect health to be approved for such accounts? Arethere other fees/premium if we (figuratively) put 1 or 2 million lump sum into such account?
@factshurt53624 жыл бұрын
I would love to get to the point to have 1 or 2 million. The max I can put in is 22,500 a year, I’m 43, and I just started this year. Looks like an impossible task but I’m giving it a go

Tax exempt 10% yield is unusual
@missedfortune4 жыл бұрын
If you are referring to tax-exempt municipal bonds, then yes you are right. If you are talking about returns in an IUL, then I have seen 10%+ several times.
