6:33 another option that works well is to use the mixer brush to smooth out the colors and tones after doing a frequency separation. 9:13 this would be a good opportunity to use blend if to take away the texture from the shadows. 9:44 I’m not sure I realized you can set a curves adjustment layer to screen or multiply without adjusting the curve at all and it would still have a lightening or darkening effect. That’s interesting. 15:01 another option is to copy some texture using the healing brush on a new layer on top of the wrinkles. Then lower the opacity of that layer to 75-50% to soften up the wrinkles. I feel like it’s better than completely removing the wrinkles. Thanks for the tutorial.

Good stuff! I have to try the mixer brush idea you have. That sounds like it could be pretty cool. Thanks for the details and thanks for watching!

Thank you for the video. I learned a lot about Photoshop back in the day from you. Even though I don't do much with it anymore, I like to keep up to speed with the advances and new workflows. I appreciate it. Hope all is well with you. I know the last time I checked in with your videos life was rough for you.

Great tutorial one thing to keep in mind that's not covered here is to keep the direction of the pores when adding details, the face has a certain flow/tension that needs to be retain

I noticed you use more of opacity than flow, is there a particular reason vs personal preference? Flow 1-2% seems like much more control
@tutvid Жыл бұрын
I prefer "Opacity" in general because no matter how long I "hold" the brush down, it will only ever go up to the opacity I set the tool to. With flow, it keeps on flowing. With opacity, I just do multiple strokes and feel like I have more control. I do sometimes use flow, but usually I prefer the control I get with opacity.

I wish photoshop had a "Nair" brush that would get rid of excess facial hair and sideburns off of women. Arm hair removal would be even better

Give Adobe’s AI a little more time and it’ll be able to make you lunch. 😳😂

22:36 Wow! Your method is way better. I think adobe neural filters are so far behind the competition.

Thank you! I hope they keep getting better! I've been playing with Luminar Neo since last summer and it's pretty powerful. Topaz also has some incredible AI tools.

Sometimes when I use the Color blend mode, it's painting green/grey instead of the color I sampled. Do you know why that is?
@tutvid Жыл бұрын
I would check to see how big the sample area is on the eyedropper tool (check up in the toolbar.) Also, be careful not to sample colored makeup around the subject's eyes.

What's up with taking nearly 5 month vacation off from KZbin? I realize you have over 1 million subscribers and you have no one to answer to and money still comes in from older videos but this is ridiculous. On a different topic, do you believe Adobe is tracking mouse movements and clicks in order to "improve their software" so they say when in reality it's out of fear because of AI.
@tutvid Жыл бұрын
It takes 5 months to make these videos sometimes. I'm hoping to finally re-commit to KZbin again 😝 I'm not sure what Adobe is tracking, but I would imagine it's difficult to ignore data that gives your company any kind of competitive advantage.
