This is so worthy of filming! Too many people are unaware of just how much money can be saved for other things if you buy used and revamp it! A pattern can be made by removing the fabric and cutting to size allowing for shrinkage ( cut a little bigger) or do as you did here and do each piece separately, excellent! I just found you again and subbed! Thanks! Got to view the other parts now to see end result! Smart, intelligent and beautiful too! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Well Done!! I watched before but I was in a rush so I came back to rewatch (and comment)! I know it was tedious and a labour of love, you saved so much money doing this yourself and you are such a role model for your children. You are indeed an asset to your family! You have to be so proud of yourself! I know your husband must think you are crazy for taking on such projects but he has got to be so proud of you when you are done! Thanks for sharing! One thing is to do the project but to share the process with us by filming and editing WOW! thanks!

This is so weird my great grandma past away and she had the EXACT same couch in perfect condition that I wanted to redo. I didn't have room for it. I was upset cause I was like this is a great couch lol. I know its not the same couch though cause I'm in the south and she didn't have it as a set. I just thought that was weird cause it was the exact print lol they came out very nice.

My parents did that! The bought two wing back chairs on like a chair for a woman and a larger for a man. They had an upholstered come to the house he brought his fabric samples and they choose the fabric and he did a beautiful job. He also took two beautifully handcrafted low tables that were specifically built for my dad; they were intended to hold speakers for his stereo. The tables were much larger that needed for his extra large speakers. The tables were turned into two beautifully upholstered foot stools to compliment the chairs.
@KaRiNa-pj9sb4 жыл бұрын
@@cherifew3485 oh wow, your dad did all of that? Did he do it himself or did your mom help him?
@cherifew34854 жыл бұрын
My parents bought used furniture, they had them reupholestered they paid someone to do it for them. The same with the tables. The fabric they chose was a cream colored base with royal blue & deep sky blue flowers with lime green and spring green leaves. The. Fabric was beautiful. A few years later, mom & I took a swatch of the material and we went shopping for a wingbacked couch we found one a perfect match in the lime green color. Their set was complete! I was able to make an afghan for my parents in the same color!

Hey guys, I buy my fabric in rolls (the entire roll) some of them only had half or 1/4 of the fabric left on them. Use a tape measure to measure your couch by yard and add 2-4 extra yards. I do not know what kind of couch /chair you have so please use your own judgment when measuring! For my regular sized arm chair I used 6-7 yards of fabric give or take a little.

Wow so many good comments 😄 I might be getting some flower couches as well but I’m not sure I could do that.. 😔 Your like the woman in proverbs 31 The Woman Who Fears the Lord 10 4 uAn excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than vjewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She wseeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. 14 She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. 15 She xrises while it is yet night and yprovides food for her household and portions for her maidens. 16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. 17 She zdresses herself5 with strength and makes her arms strong. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. 19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 20 She aopens her hand to bthe poor and reaches out her hands to bthe needy. 21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in cscarlet.6 22 She makes dbed coverings for herself; her clothing is efine linen and fpurple. 23 Her husband is known in gthe gates when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes hlinen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. 25 iStrength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many jwomen have done kexcellently, but you surpass them all.” 30 lCharm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

I think I'm losing some of my knowledge in sewing. I also like to say I appreciate your thoughtfulness and not adding music to your video.
