I have 2 scales on my study where 1 scale is from 1 to 4, and the other one is from 1 to 5. How do I reverse iteams in both of them? I need some grouping in order to revert 1->4, 2-> 3, etc on the first one and 1->5, 2->4 etc on the second.

just reverse the scales separately. What the guy in the video did but 2 times for each scale, dont group them all the box

its when the question/ item is asked in reverse. So in a questionnaire measuring happiness the higher the points the more happy. But maybe one item is phrased negatively like : do you often feel unhappy? Then a high score would be indicative of less happiness so it must be reverse coded to fit the construct
