What a beautiful napkin, and wouldn’t a set with smaller dessert plates as well make a beautiful shower gift for a new bride? Wonder if cups can be done as well. With all these beautiful napkins available, you can customize them to fit any holiday, religion, age, etc. What I loved was the durability so they can be cleaned. This was a huge craft years ago, but they were hung on the walls. You’ve elevated it to a high end level. With all your instructions and the list of products mentioned, anyone can dupe this project. You make every craft look so easy to accomplish. That’s a tribute to your great teaching. I love this plate.

Hi there! Thank you and I'm happy you enjoyed this video! Since it's a plate that will be used around food in a kitchen. I would make sure that you use something food safe. I wouldn't think that furniture lacquer is food safe. I would definitely use one of the Polyvine products. They are all food safe, and the Heavy Duty Wood Varnish is heat and water resistant. Hi i love your work and algo i have a question if I don't have the clear varnish to protector the crackle on a glass plates can I use the deco art varnish?

Hi Petra, I'm so happy you enjoyed this video and love my work. Please don't use Decoart varnish it's water based and will ruin your fineline crackle finish. It will turn it gooey and sticky and of course lose the fineline cracking. Any varnish that you can clean off your brush with water you won't be able to use. You can only use a solvent based varnish. Hi Denise, I will do a Christmas plate for sure. Maybe more than one lol... These plates don't get fired in a kiln like pottery so they are definitely not dishwasher safe.
