How to reverse out of a parking space, this is a driving tutorial for beginners.
Hello everyone!!!, Welcome once again to another driving tutorial and we are very excited to share this valuable information to make you a better driver. Today we will be focusing on how to exit a parking spot. I’ve been getting requests on making a video about this once again and explaining it a bit more in detail because is a huge concern when it comes to taking the driver examination.
In many occasions when we are trying to get out of a parking spot, whether is throughout the driving examination when we are trying to get our license or when we are already out driving with our own car and we find ourselves in a situation where we are trying to get out of a parking space and theres many vehicles around and behind us.. there’s certain tips that you can follow to make this experience easier and avoid having a hard time.

If there was a car in the spot directly behind you, you would've have hit it .That's way too much backing up. This will work only if you're in an empty carpark with no other cars. You should start turning the wheel when you're slightly more than about 3/4 out of the space. Backing all the way will give you less space to turn. You'll hit the car in the spot directly behind you

depends on how close you are to the other vehicle. Turning out sharply even if your car is 3/4 of the way out could still end up swiping the backend of the other vehicle if they are parked close to you. You have to know the distance of the other cars next to you first before you start swinging your car out. I've had cars parked on the line many times throughout my driving years. Had i swung out when my car was 3/4 the way out, then my car would have surely hit the backend of their car.

The first two “X’s” in the video can be useful. Over your driving career, you may encounter super tight parking lots. The sooner you get an angle, the easier it be to maneuver. You need to take caution because the front end of the car will swing left or right depending on which way you’re steering. Turn just enough so you get an angle without striking the vehicle next to you.

Been driving for 29 years, many professionally. I've always slightly started turning the wheel when my bumper was lines up with the neighboring cars' back doors. Keeps your rear bumper farther from cars behind you. However, this takes precision.

you turn your wheel a quarter of the way when you first start to back out, to get you angle started, then turn your wheel sharply to the right or left when your front part of your hood is lined up with the back of the others cars bumper. The method they are showing you will not work if you got a car parked behind you.

Why don't you guys show what to do when there are cars in the spaces behind you? The angle will me much shorter, do you have to do it in 2 tries? Backing up again so you can make the turn?

hey , do we need to make sure the steering wheel is straight before backing out ? and also what i wanna ask is that in this video you have enough space to align your front hood with the bumper of the other car , but what if you don't have that much of a space that the parking lot is very tight ?

Yes, the steering wheel needs to be straight. If you are on a tight parking lot you can start your turn a tiny bit earlier just make sure you don't hit the cars next to you. All the best

When backing out do you just remove your foot off the break or hit the gas

Just remove the foot of the brake, if the car doesn't move just press the accelerator a bit and back to the brake pedal.

Especially in a suv or truck cause the truck is going to move regardless without your foot on the break. Best advice just slowly lift your foot off the break and keep turning the car

Hi, Step 1: Back up straight, Step 2: Turn the steering wheel left/right depending which way you want to go. Step 3: Once you can't back up no more you turn the steering wheel the opposite way on step two. Hope this helps.
