I'm sorry if you said this on the video but I'm watching with no volume sneaking at work (don't judge me). But does this only work if they're trying to finish the Kimura from this crucifix type position? Obviously it wouldn't work from mount but a side control or north southish finish?

I don’t think it would work very well on the bottom of those positions. But you can do a similar reversal from half guard too if the guy on bottom is trying to Kimura you
