It’s great that your power Bank’s housing is very easy to open up. How can you do a small charge like what you did for a powerbank that can’t be opened up?

Thank you very much! Exactly what I needed. I have a brand new power bank never used, but it's 4 years old so the internal battery🔋 had discharged and would not take any charge. Now it all seems to be working. I used Alligator test leads from a AA battery charger directly onto the internal battery.

What a helpful video! Thanks. Could you do a video on how to use a voltage meter such as the one you have in this video please?
@Daniel-dj7fh Жыл бұрын
There are countless of videos out there, you always want to set the meter to measure the highest possible voltage and then click down till you are at the right level. If you know what the max voltage you can have is you can set it directly to the correct voltage. And you need to keep in mind that there is AC and DC, in case of the powerbank we have DC. But straight from the wall you want to measure in AC.

I have a powerbank which has not been charged for 3 years or so. The powerbank charges but I can only charge my phone about 500mAh instead of 2100mAh (given by the powerbank). Is there a way to fix this?

Hi. Good job on the videos btw. I have a quesrion: I want to join two dc power supplies , whose voltage and current vary a bit, in parallel into one output lead wire in order to charge my power bank; what is the best and/or most cost effective way to do this? Tyia for any good info. Grace to you.

Hello, do you think this would work with one of those lithium battery jump starters for a car? I bought one last year, charged it up and put it in the truck. I tried to use it last Friday and it was dead. I have tried to charge it but it only shows 0% and will not charge up. Any ideas? Thank you.

Thanks for the video. I have a 10Ah Intenso power bank that does not charge any devices in either of the 2 USB-A output ports. When I try to charge through the micro USB, the charging leds light up though, it shows as being almost full. Any ideas how I could fix it? It has been sitting unused for a couple of years if it helps.

I have a powerbank with 8pcs 18650 batteries inside.. I didn't touch it for 1 year and now it won't take a charge. I opened it up... if I want to "jumpstart" or revive the batteries, do I need to disconnect all batteries and do them separately? or can I take another 18650 battery that I have and somehow jumpstart all 8 powerbank batteries at the same time? --- Do I connect positive to positive and negative to negative to jumpstart or positive to negative on each?

I have a similar battery pack that I just bought. I tried the same method and was able to get it from 0.81V to 1.60V but when I try charging it, the led indicator won’t turn on meaning it’s not charging. What should I do?
@johnrhodes33503 жыл бұрын
Repeat the jump start process and try to get the voltage up to 1.8V or even 2.0V sometimes that is the cut-off

What happens if you take rc 7.2v battery and try to charge a dead 18650 battery bank? Will the dead battery revive but the charging system that the 18650 is connected to get fried? I did just this and while I got the 18650 to record 4v from 0v after 30 seconds. I smelled other portions of the charging system burned. I have it charging now (outside in case it explodes) and it indicates charging but not exactly sure what the burning is from... (Cables or other)? Advice? Should I chuck it since unsafe now?

Hi there I have a battery that shows 0 volts. Do you think i can still revive it like that? I heard that it might short circuit the good battery. Is that true?
@vuaeco6 жыл бұрын
Hi Quang, that's not true. Short circuit is when you connect the negative to the positive of the SAME battery. Parallel charging method is not short circuit. You can still revive a 0 Volt battery. Most likely 0V batteries are dead as Li-ion cells do not like to be that much discharged. And to answer your other question about my KZbin user name, you are correct.
@cheapfm6 жыл бұрын
vuaeco thanks for your answer :). So i tried reviving it like you but in fact it’s dead. What happened is that I was able to get it to about 1.2 V after 20sec attached to a working cell but the voltage kept dropping back down to eventually reach 0 V. Furthermore the battery kept heating up while discharging.
@vuaeco6 жыл бұрын
quangvietkieu Two things that would hint you have a bad battery when you try this method: 1. The voltage drops too fast after you unplug the charging wires. 2. The battery heats up. These 2 things usually go together and that means your battery cannot be revived.

Have you ever brought back a Ryobi 40V from low voltage, IE 18-22 Volts?
@mikejf43776 жыл бұрын
I do like your videos, most informative and interesting.
@vuaeco6 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried a Ryobi 40V. I did try the 18V and it was a little bit tricky. The circuit board actually prevents you from parallel charging. So you will need to bypass the circuit board and charge the battery directly. I did a video on it a while back. You can find it in my video list.
