Have you ever used the “waterfall method” for your locs?
@jamail70 Жыл бұрын
I've never had another hand in my locs. I started from afro free form. Only wash and shampoo twice a month. Handful grease on scalp and separation and finger wind only. No re twisting comb parting pulling braiding all this makes thinner roots a ND locs. Leave alone and you will have healthier roots and hair stop the constant salon twisting and styling.

Debatable most males go to a salon/lady and their locs turn out fine tbh.

Waterfall absolutely. I use a towel and knee pads to stay down there, but it's the only way to get the water pressure I require to get a good rinse! 😄

Please show some examples and demo of what you speak of...would be much helpful ❤. 🙏🏽

i have washed my locs with diluted castile soap for 2 plus years. I think my locs are clean. I shampoo once a week- occasionally once in two weeks- for a year now. My next shampoo will be a chelating shampoo. It will be after I empty the castile bottle.😊

Greetings, i love to diying my hair products (i wear my hair in it's natural state). How ever i now know that the castile soap is damaging to my locs. What do you suggest as a diy shampoo for locs?
@thedigitalloctician Жыл бұрын
Yeah Castile soap is the base for a lot of DIY and small-owned shampoos, which is not bad, it’s just the interaction with hard water. So the easiest solution is to get a filter.

Hi Jocelyn, My install was in November and to be honest I am struggling. It's not locking fast but it is growing 💗. I had to go through two installs basically. My third re tight was Monday and it's improving. Do you know if Dread Head lock accelerant is helpful?

Can the chelation shampoo disolve lint?

Only some minerals. A detox can bring most things out of the loc to the surface.

I wanted to ask; if I’m washing my hair every two weeks, should I use both a clarifying and moisturising shampoo? Is it necessary to use a clarifying shampoo bi-weekly?
@thedigitalloctician Жыл бұрын
With locs you always have to clarify.
@rockswapna Жыл бұрын
It depends what goes into your hair too. I don't use oils and can get by using a regular shampoo. Clarifying shampoos dry my scalp too much and kind of force me to put moisture/sealants in that I otherwise don't need. If you use oils or other products, then each wash would be good to clarify
@gigi4874-w3w Жыл бұрын
You are smart. It's good to switch up shampoos every 3 months. (I clarify every wash- which is 7-10 days).
