Although you will probably find yourself mostly on Streetcars and Subways, you may have to take a bus in Toronto. This video tells you how to get on and off the bus and how to use your Presto card to pay.

It's literally the same as the STM. That said, I prefer to stand near the doors on a STM bus to facilitate my getting off. On the STM buses, they have that green indicator showing whether the doors will open or not. I don't know if TTC buses also have that. But, unless there is a mechanical issue with the doors, they won't open on you if the indicator isn't green. So, usually, I'll just hold on to the door standing bars.

There isn’t a green light, but you will hear a click when the door is engaged to open.

You still need to buy a ticket for the TTC. You can’t use a Go Train ticket on Toronto city transit.

how would you let the drivers know where you want to go to? and when you press the button the bus driver WILL stop correct?

The bus follows a route. When you press the button the bus will stop at the next scheduled stop.

Silly question, but will the bus driver still stop at every bus stop even if I don't press the button to get off?

If no one presses the button and no one is waiting they will drive past without stopping.

They never get where you need to be and are not very safe, but it's a good alternative and can be very useful at times.

You are now able to tap credit and Canadian debit cards on the bus, streetcars and subway to buy your ticket.

Yes. Exact fare required. The driver will give you a paper transfer.

All money is accepted. If you are paying for 1 then it will be all coins. But if you are paying for 2 or more then bills can be used.
