Nice tutorial son. Note: Works exactly the same for the now rare car with a stick shift.

absolutely!!! one thing I didn't touch in is power shifting/clutch less shifting. Maybe next video haha

is it bad to shift down from 4 instantly to 1, for example normally it goes 4-3-2-1, but is it bad to shift from 4-1
@urbexcross7 ай бұрын
not bad at all, but be ready for some severe engine breaking. the goal of downshifting is to get the bike into the gear it wants to be in, given the speed you are going. So if you are going 40 MPH and click down to first gear, you are going to feel some SEVERE engine breaking and could possibly skid your tire/ lose control. gear = match the speed you are going. If you want to be smooth with a downshift, use the clutch and slowlyyyyyy release it into your desired gear to get the bike to ease into the gear. Good question!!

@@urbexcross thanks for clearing it up, love ur vids. thinking of getting a 50cc moped when i turn 16. something like a rieju mrt50, any tips?

@@TheRealWigma that's awesome! i don't have much experience with mopeds or scooters but I bet they are lower seat height, which is great for beginning. since you won't fall from up high.

@@urbexcross to be fair I used a cable clutch and it was very hard. It just wanted to slip out of my fingers. Like it pushed my fingers but hydraulic clutch is probably alot better.

@@JOEMAMA.95ahhh! I started with a cable clutch. make sure the cable is lubricated well. that can help. I have a motion pro cable lubricator thing that helps spray lubricant into the whole cable length. it helps a lot in easing clutch fatigue. hope this helps. ☺️

@@urbexcross I don't have a clutch cable bike I just rode one and the clutch is hard. If I'm gonna buy a bike it's gotta be hydraulic
@urbexcross7 ай бұрын
@@JOEMAMA.95ahhh I see what you mean. A cable clutch isn't a deal breaker tho. example, Eli Tomac is one of the best dirt bike riders in the world and prefers a cable clutch vs hydraulic.
