@@its-sneaky-b8502Im probably a little late but they're talking about counter steering. If you know how to ride a bike you'll be fine. Basically they mean if you want to turn left you need to start going right first to initiate the lean left and vice versa.

Dont waste your time watching the video. What you're supposed to do is find a nice flat road. Get a 250 2 stroke or a 450, both are perfect for any beginner. Kick start it, get on the bike, pull in the clutch, and give it full throttle, put it in first gear and let go of the clutch really fast.

This was so helpful thank you. The only question I have is after you kickstart the bike how do you stop it. Like if you are just revving it or you decide you don’t want to go.
@deline8ed619 Жыл бұрын
@mollysheahan So, there are two brakes. Right hand lever controls front brakes, and right foot lever controls rear brakes, as mentioned in video briefly. Holding in the left hand clutch lever disengages the clutch, so you won’t move on level ground.regardless of motor rpm or “revving.” Also, inbetween 1st and 2nd gear is neutral. In neutral, the clutch is also disengaged.

+Kevin Pilling Dustin said it very well. Your upper body should be relaxed and have a light grip. All the strength from riding comes from your legs. Think about it, what's stronger? Legs or arms? Would you rather punch a door down or kick one down? We assume you choose kick because your legs are stronger and can take much more abuse. So use them to your advantage by squeezing them to your bike 👍🏻 Good question though, thanks for watching!

@TheMxFactory6 жыл бұрын
Generally on any gas bike above 110cc, you'll have to shift up and down. You can install a rekluse clutch that allows for no clutch use, but you're still shifting with your foot. The new electric bikes are the only fully automatic options that you don't have to shift at all.

New rider at 43! Mid-life crisis? 🤷🏿♂️ I was introduced to bikes as a kid, spent some time on street bikes as a teenager and then for decades I left 2-wheelers alone ... till now. Now I have an XR-400R and after about 5.5 hours of street riding today, I'm eager to improve my competence. I've subscribed to this page because the videos are fun and informative, and I look forward to more tips and advice to help me make the most of my new machine. Thanks guys. Oh, I bruised my hands something wicked today so I'm gonna need some gloves. Any recommendations?

How can i tell if my bikes in neutral because even when in gear i can push it easily
@maiw35264 жыл бұрын
It won't move if you're pushing it and it's in gear unless you have the clutch in, in neutral it'll move without clutch.

I got a semi-auto bike and when I put it in first gear then give it barley any throttle it takes off really fast. Am I doing something wrong or ?
@TheMxFactory6 жыл бұрын
Is your idle super high? Or possibly your throttle cables have no slack.

i am 54(female) just started learning to ride a dirt bike.I have been driving a manual car for many years but just cant get this throttle/clutch control at low speed on the bike, its really frustrating me as I eventually want go trail riding with hubby but if I cant get this ,all I will do is stall it every 5 minutes..I have had my bike about 3 months and have got the gear changing ,steering and speed fine..Standing I am not quite confident to do that yet, I am only 5ft2 and not very strong..I have a kawasaki 125 KLX, 4 stroke

Are you taking about when you start the bike moving from a complete stop?
@TheMxFactory6 жыл бұрын
Just keep practicing! It’ll come. Work that ‘sweet spot’ of your clutch like it shows in the video. Some aspects of dirt biking you’ll nail right away, some skills will take longer to perfect. Just keep at it, it’s so worth it in the end 👍🏼
@charmainewoods13106 жыл бұрын
no,,I can take off fine.It when i try to do slow full lock practice,,instead of feathering the clutch I keep giving it more throttle or stall it. dont have the guts to stand and do them yet

I’ve never ridden a dirt bike but want to get into it. What advice would you give me for my first steps in learning to ride?
@АндрейКоструба-н4й3 жыл бұрын
thank you for your videos. Many people only talk about the suspension settings on each bike. I have a question. is it important that both feets reach the ground when you are sitting on a bike? is it important to adjust the height of the bike to the rider height, so that both feets touch the ground?
@Jdrides94 Жыл бұрын
You want at least your toes to touch so you feel comfortable on the bike

This video really helped especially after my last incident. Shifted into first gear and just full throttled it and my bike flipped😢🤣 Thanks so much, I really hope this video can help me

When i first started i was doing good u til my brain stoped working and i crashed into the fence bec i forgot HOW TO USE THE BREAK LIKE WHO DOES THAT (me of corse me )
@thegamingfreak51814 жыл бұрын
Your be suprised but ive had to like train my mind to remember that I have a break and can slow down but I think it has to do with the fact it’s a manual and I was worried that if I break i Might stall the bike
