This guy is very good. All the little details given like in his other videos 'always keep the bike moving' makes all sense once you start riding from being a learner. I recommend you watch and don't assume you know everything and as with motorbikes once you get experience, don't be arrogant but to respect the throttle and value your life and the life of others.

I would really appreciate some advice, please. I’ve been a car driver for 8 years and for a while I’ve been dreaming about motorbikes. I recently had my CBT (125cc), passed it, but I didn’t enjoy riding the bike and now I feel disheartened with the whole subject. I’d never even sat on a motorbike until my CBT, and all of my expectations of how it would be, went out of the window! It all felt unintuitive, I didn’t feel 100% in control at times, even though my instructor said I was doing well. I guess I wasn’t able to enjoy it because I was concentrating so much. Stationary the 125cc bike felt much more heavier than I expected, the dial cluster felt soo far down so I had to take my eyes off of the road when looking at it, the indicators don’t self cancel (I think that’s normal for a lot of bikes). As soon as I got on the bike, my expectations for the future of looking cool on the bike of my dreams and having a great exhaust sound, disappeared, I could have been on a bright pink bike with Barbie stickers on it, I felt like a fish out of water, unnatural. I look at the motorbikes that inspired me to get into it, and I feel genuinely depressed about the whole thing, because I never imagine going through the buying and selling process of different bikes. I know I need to build my experience, but if I’m going to invest in a new motorbike hobby, I don’t want to buy something that I know I’m not going to keep, plus I’m not interested in riding a 125cc because it doesn’t fit the purpose I’m planning to use it for.
@TheRCBiker Жыл бұрын
You are new to it and whenever we learn new things it’s totally normal to not enjoy it so much, because the “how to ride “ is taking all of your brain capacity therefore not leaving any capacity for enjoyment. Bear with it. The more you ride the more comfortable you will become and the sense of freedom and adrenaline will take over. Trust me 😊 Buy a small ish bike (Ninja 350 perhaps?), take your time and ride safely .
