Thank you so much for making this very useful video for first-timers traveling from Tao Yuan Airport to Taipei city via the Airport MRT Line. A simple video like this sure beats a thousand words of explanations. I am feeling more confidently now in taking the Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station after watching this vid. One question though - how long does it takes to walk from the Airport MRT stop at the Main Station to the Bannan Line (BL) ? Is it a very long walk transferring train at the Taipei Main Station ?

It will take most people at least 10-15minutes if they are walking with a luggage and look for signs to follow.

This is such a helpful video, thank you! I'll be in taipei next week. How often does the express train (and the commuter train) go to Taipei Main Station? Is it only once or twice a day, or does it go nonstop? I was confused by what the airport website listed, so please help!

Thanks for the kind words! The express train and the commuter train go from the airport to Taipei Main Station starting at about 6am till about 11pm, throughout the day (I don't know the exact frequency, but I'd say it is within every 15 minutes). Wow, just missed the opportunity to use this new MRT route. How long did it take to get from the airport to Taipei Main Station? The last two times I have been to Taiwan, I caught a shuttle bus to Taoyuan HSR station instead.

This is really a disgrace. as Taiwanese for myself, I really HATE the airport MRT. Just look at 1:27. Tell me WHO the heck shall sit in there? 4 adults? Come on!!!! 4 adults with 1,30m height maybe or 4 kids. But NEVER 4 adults
