Malkarion is still a interesting fight and there are a couple different ways to defeat this behemoth. In this short video I'll be showing you how to kill Malkarion quickly using the Mantle/Lasso mode. This is also a great method for cutting off Malkarion's tail if you need it to craft it's legendary gear.

hi Ohdough iv been trying to las onto malk so many times and everytime i jump on the vents and aim at him it says i can left click which i do my las dose'nt not eject and for some odd reason and i cant use it ?? iam confused iwhy i cant get on to his back?

you know what this game need . . . good old *boss rage* I am not really good at this game and never beat any trail because i have been lazy but. I know for a fact that this game is easy. if grind get the late game items and armor. killing behemoths are too easy. there is a lot of charm in really hard earned boss kill and worthy reward for that grind. Not having strong boss is seriously holding back this games potential, some of the veteran players that played this game year or two go only solo hunts because having party member makes behemoths health up and makes hunt more longer(specially new players in the party) and lack of hunting in party makes players interact each other less *[BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION]* by making some of the latest boss behemoths almost impossible to solo it. this will make players actually interact to each other and seek each other to hunt that specific behemoths and make strategic class choices. more players interaction is the life of every game. I hope there would be really strong behemoths in the future because to me these behemoths are lil too easy for people that played this game few year year or two.

There's a bug with axe wherein if you throw your axe then mount malkarion the axe will just spin on its back. It will stop when you unmount though.

im at a stumbling block of when exactly and how to re lasso. so, I hop on the vent, use mouse 1 to attach (and using chainblades) use secondary attack for the consistent damage but my problem is how do I hop off i order TO re lasso? thx!!! EDIT: Okay so to dismount, you jump off. SPACEBAR then the crosshairs come up again and that was the only missing information in the video.

I just watched your other video and this one to see how to fight Malkarion, and my biggest problem is really just tracking it... and hitting it. Right now, only repeaters or scythes seem to have the proper range for it. I'm on PS4 and IMO the camera should be tilter a bit upward than usual, because all the attacks are done airborne and we have to stop using attacks to properly adjust the camera ALL THE F TIME with R3. And when we are close it is even worse. If we are on the ground, 80% of the time he his hovering with only his head or tail visible, (if we are close to it) or in range of hits. That is IF he isn't dashing all over the place which makes us having to run around all over the crater, thus loosing stamina. I think PL design this with the new "ride mode" in mind, but we get the Tutorial in a short window on the FIRST time we face it, and then there is nowhere we can go to look at and read this hint (properly). Adding to this, it is also hard to track Malkarion with a controller. Sometimes L3 (auto-adjust) works, but if you wanna land on a specific part or if he moves... Forget it. You'll land were it wants (if you land on it at all) and THEN use R3 (again) to try al look at the Behemoth, to try and "prevent" his moves to knocking you over, all this, WHILE hitting it frenetically. All in all, not the "smoothest" of fights.

Thrax has to make a portable aether vent. For you to mount him then you run onto the aether vent then look at thrax then press R2 and make sure to press triangle and not square if you wanna do it fast
