Great video. I actually enjoy that you didn't talk continuously through it. Allowed me to concentrate more on what steps you were taking. Your wife did great with the camera and in following your process.

I accidentally bought the wrong pack for 60 bucks off a surplus store outside ft Lewis. Guess it's made for a paratrooper it's freaking huge, nice it is the Alice pack frame though and it has a super nice set of straps on here. Can't wait to get the med Alice then ill be set, an now I kñow how to put it on, thanks.

Oh shit!!Now i remember that you dont put the lowering line in the middle of the frame with the H-harness.I remember doing this shit with the old 2 strap release system.This was 89-90 when we got this sytem when it was still new along with the T-10 Charlies and Dash One Charlies.Well im old now but still a fricken "Cherry"from the shit i did back them and the Jumpmasters did not catch it.Sure was fucked up with the middle of the frame sticking into your back on long road marches on the way back.Once again AIRBORNE Brother!!

I had no idea what was going on until the end. Where do the straps attach to the body? Actually, I am still confused. Lol

If you check my channel out I have another video from my point of view (I have a camera attached to my forehead) and you can get a really good idea of what's going on - admittedly it's not an alice pack but a MOLLE rucksack. The only difference between those two would be where you route the leg straps (explained in both videos)

Hmm how fast can you take that off when dropped into combat under fire
@mcharge103 жыл бұрын
Once you hit the ground it's just the lowering line that's excessive/in the way, you can put the ruck on as soon as you pop off the retainer bands/tape from the shoulder straps. But if you're jumping into combat (which is relatively unrealistic in this day and age) I imagine you'd have a knife and/or cut it off when you hit the ground. There's never really been a procedure discussed during the times I was jumping.

Is that the medium or large Alice?
@williamrianda80935 жыл бұрын
And can you jump either?
@TheR3dline4 жыл бұрын
I guess you probably got your answer already, but just in case: The pack size doesn't determine if its jumpable. The frame does. So basically any pack on an Alice frame is.jumpable. same with molle. The medium and large molle sacks are jumpable because of the frames. Just make sure you got about 35lbs in the pack and it'll jump. Rltw
