Exactly the way i was taught as a lad, my mother is one for leaving kinks and twists in leads and hose pipes. Even though i've shown her enough times maybe i should sit her down in front of this video and make her watch it all day. Great video mate.

I have a 20 metre extension cord I've owned for probably close to 30 years now. I keep it on an old garden hose reel that I repurposed for the task after the water connection broke. I bought a new, longer extension cord about a year ago and have done the same with that as well. works perfectly for me and keeps my extension cords neat and tidy.

Used you tip to build a work bench and it turned out beautiful. It's a little bit larger than yours 40" x 88" and I finshed it with clear lacquer and grey on the legs and frame. It's almost too nice to use as a work table. Thanks for your tip.

That's great Wiltrun! It sounds awesome. I know what you mean about it being to good to use as a workbench:-) You almost have to splash some paint over it to get over the feeling of it being so nice. How about you post a couple of pics of it on my DIY For Knuckleheads Facebook page? I'd love to see it and l know all the other followers on the page would like to check it out too. Here's the link just in case you want to. facebook.com/DiyForKnuckleheads?ref=h Cheers mate.

Great tip knaaaackers. I am a fellow tradesman and always look around for helpful "trade secrets" or tips and you have been the best so far. I watched all your videos and I work as a trim carpenter on long island, New York and i was wondering how come you don't have a good mudding drywall video after installation. P.S. make sure you don't spill your beer.

We always daisy chained them when I was an apprentice. If your journeyman caught you rolling up a cord, it would probably earn you a dope slap! :) I still daisy chain mine, you never know when a journeyman is lurking about...

Nice video! It looks like a great way to keep extension cords. Quick question regarding storage. I keep about 4 extension cords (25ft, 50ft, 100ft, 100ft) coiled and hanging on hooks in my workshop. How is the best way to hang a cord that's wrapped this way without it hanging down a meter, or would you recommend I just do 4 wide and let each hang down a meter rather than 2 wide and 2 that I have now?
@diyforknuckleheads8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dave. To keep the cords relaxed l would leave them hang down a metre. Cheers :-)

What is best to start them when there brand new and don’t want to bend and shape the way u want them to cause they come rolled up super small bunch and it is hard to train them to start with.
