Thanks so much. I have been watching all the videos, in particular the ones for beginners, scissors, and transitions. I am learning so much thanks to an outstanding coach.

I've been skating for 2 weeks. Unable to lift my feet so I started doing this on my right side kind of spontaneously. My left foot will not move. Must be a mental, newbie thing. Great vid!

This tutorial was fantastic! I'm a newbie skater and get tired very quickly trying to do regular pushes with lifting my legs. I'm going to try this technique next time I'm out!

@@appelusa went out skating yesterday and tried this! After few attempts I managed to move without lifting the pushing leg! Now I need to practice on the other side! You're fantastic and how you explain things is so easy to understand! Thabk you!

@@appelusa - You think so? I thought it was just something simple to help me keep my balance and was keeping me from improving because my wheels are always on the floor
@appelusa2 жыл бұрын
Oh I see you’re keeping your feet on the ground. Many people have a hard time maneuvering at all so the fact you are gaining speed and edging is great. But you should try to start to pick your feet up to push 😄
@jamiegray62852 жыл бұрын
@@appelusa - Right - Yeah, I’ve been working on that and coasting on one foot to practice balancing. Another issue is I just don’t see how the JB skaters are able to slide their feet/skates around so fast. Do you have any videos on that or are you going to do one?

Hi Valley Bear! Have you checked your bearings? Also weight in back of skate while knees bent and actively pressing into the ground helps :)
@TownGirl043 жыл бұрын
@@appelusa I think bearings are OK. It's probably where the weight is .. I try that. Def had that wrong. I appreciate the help ❤

Yeah, I found that out the hard way by trying to brace my fall with my arms. Ended up fracturing my arm in 3 places.
