How to Root Store-Bought Carnations

I got some from a store for my birthday I cut the rose of and left it in the vase and it did grow roots and leaves.

After you put rooting hormone on them and then insert them in a pot, can they be placed in direct sunlight?

Direct sunlight will cause a lot of water loss. Without roots this might kill the cutting. I would wait until roots form before putting the cuttings in direct sunlight
