Not shown in video is how to turn off "Reactivation Lock" Here's how to do it: Go to Settings > (Under "Personal") Security > (Under "Find My Mobile") uncheck "Reactivation Lock". If it's already unchecked you're good.

It worked for me! Using a T-mobile sim. Wanted the root to make it a wifi hot spot, and put the Note 5 rom on my note 4. So awesome!.

How do I reset knox? I used Odin to flash marshmallow using the sammobile rom but the screen still gets hot, I still only get 1x-3g no lte and the knox counter is tripped. Do I need to get triangle away?

Max, The problem I have is that once in download mode my phone does not see adb flash or Odin. Odin give me the port# but every flash ends with FAIL! Flashing from ADB just gets stuck on "Waiting for Device". I have tried all the apk root apps listed on XDA all end with root failed. I tried the methods in the videos for fix Odin "Waiting for Device" errors which is basically delete and reload the USB drivers and that does not help. So for me Odin and Twrp are out of the question. My CID does start with 15. Do you have any tricks or suggestions I can try? Model SM-N910V with android V 6.0.1. I did manage to get this done on a Note 3 by downgrading the version so I think I know all the steps, but it took the Arabic app.

Your on the wrong carrier, Verizon rarely ever releases bootloader unlock codes to the manufacturer. Unless you can do whatever Max did there on the note 4 with a terminal emulator, I doubt you can unlock a Verizon variant bootloader of your device. On the bright side, King root most likely has you covered for root access, but I'd still recommend swapping for a more reliable and trusted superuser like SuperSU or Magisk. Your website has the wrong file description for the samsung unlock n4 2 file. I was coping it and getting stuck. Also, it seems like the system file from your site gives a CDMA version of the note 4 and not the GSM. My sim card doesn't pick up a signal and the options i get are LTE/CDMA or CDMA.. u got a fix for this man?

This is a huge help, after doing the systemonly flash let it boot into TWRP. At this point remove your microSD card and then hit reboot system in TWRP. This should fix bootloop problems.

Note 4 fingerprint scanner is different hardware completely. Note 4 is a swipe scan and S7/Edge is a touch scan. That may be why fingerprint scanner doesn't work...
