Niels my friend -- What an awesome video my man!!! This breakdown -- where you don't always have an overhead view and nor do you see these (shots) when you're playing from "overhead", is a huge huge benefit to those learning pattern "choice". You're calling out every shot --- and why!!! I absolutely love it; can you tell I enjoy your pattern play!?! :) You also comment on the spin/english you "plan" to play, and again -- why! So very beneficial. Everyone's position play will be different -- reason for practice (practice, practice, practice! You gotta learn you and how ya play). What a great vid!!!! Congrats on your finish!!!! OH --- and Congratulations to David Decker!!!! Be Safe

You shot great in the straight pool! I noticed you were hitting dead center in the pockets, very clean! The over head also gave a great view of your Head, Cue, and Arm line up! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and give ya a 9.9 buddy! Haa! Haa! Great shooting!

Straight pool seems to be getting more popular. I finally have a pool table at home and plan to start playing straight pool. I guess my first goal will be getting to 50 and then 100.

I ran a 84 once and was my best so far. It was ugly,,the break balls were terrible. A few of them I barely touched the rack,but enough to get 1 ball out and lucky enough to open the balls from there. It happened over and over,,but manage to make 84. lol Winging it and notice a 84 is a mis on the break ball,,lol. It was such a bad leave again. You make it look so easy!!

Great video as usual. Straight pool is something that I have been getting more interested in lately. It looks like a great game to play by yourself as well by just trying for high runs if you don't have a opponent to play. This is also called 14.1 isn't it?

When I started playing pool in the mid 70's, in a real pool hall, all we played was straight pool. That was the game then that serious players played. No better game to develop precision position play that carries over into the more played games today. 8, 9 and 10 ball. Not sure I understood the "modern straight pool" comment. Go back to the 70's, object then was to get the pack spread out as soon as possible and always keep an eye out for a wired ball in the pack to blast the pack open. Fun to watch the pros shoot straight pool. Make 100+ ball runs look like childs play. What kind of table was that? Were those 5" pockets?
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen2 жыл бұрын
4,25 inch pockets but they play large because of thie new cloth 🙏🏻😄👍🏼

I certainly wouldn't expect you to give away secrets that, ultimately, you can charge for, but would you ever consider (if you haven't already) a video about the mental side of the game? Specifically about dealing with a sequence of poor shots, or a loss of your own doing and how to bounce back, perhaps? How to ready yourself to move on. It's just something I've been thinking about after dealing with it recently and thought I'd throw it out there. Take care!

This dude is the consummate professional. Some players are probably naturally more talented than him.But u could tell this man put alot of work in to get to their levels and be a giant amongst them. #theterminatorlives

Do you even know what you're talking about? Niels has been a (multiple world) champion for many many years!
@seandesir72722 жыл бұрын
@@robdetuinman2 that's what I mean. Guys like Josh filler , Efren Reyes, Jayson shaw are naturally more talented than him. Feijen is one hardest working players to improve his game. Feijen would agree with me 100 percent. So u don't know what u talking about.
@rickmiller93682 жыл бұрын
@@seandesir7272 In the US we call that a backhanded compliment and its disrespectful. Josh, Jason and Efren are no more "Naturally" talented than anyone else. They worked HARD to get where they are just like Niels. Id argue that natural talent does not exist. Its an excuse those who dont want to work hard use to justify why they are not where they want to be.
@seandesir72722 жыл бұрын
@@rickmiller9368 natural talent does not exist? R u kidding me? I can give u a 1000 years better 10,000 years to study chess. U would never be able to beat magnus Carslen. The same thing in pool, I can give a million years to study pool, and eferen Reyes in his prime would mop the floor with u. U ever heard the term, some people were born to do one thing and one thing only. That's natural talent. SMFH.. The terminator knows I am not knocking him. He even said it himself in one of his videos that some players are more naturally talented than him. But this guy is the ultimate workhorse and practice like a maniac to reach his level greatness.
