Holy crap! My kickstarter showed up in your video XD Cryptids Care!! Adding in my friendly tip! Give your kickstarter A week or two to gather "notify me on launch" clicks and hard push it then. I didn't do that with this current one and it's not gotten as much traction as my last kickstarter. So i'm pretty sure it helps!!

Thanks for the advice! Totally agree with promoting your pre-launch page ahead of time, it makes it a lot easier to get backers within the first few hours of the launch since it's a direct notification

As someone about to launch my first Ita bag kickstarter, I'm TERRIFIED! Haha. I feel like I have so many questions about making the text for the campaign, finding how to promote it to an audience with a low-ish instagram following, ect. I've recently seen other campaigns I was sure would succeed fail, and my fear of failure is holding me back. That being said, I have so much appreciation for this video and the content you product. It seriously helps ease my mind about the process and makes it easier to get ready for launch. If I ever see you at an event, I hope I can give you a ton of stickers or pins in appreciation for your help! It helps so much hearing how it goes from a successful artist!

Love watching your videos! I would love to see a video dealing with the shipping aspect of Kickstarter seems to be a bit difficult 😅

I have a question. Don't you need rights to do designs about an stablished brand like One Piece?

Thank you for making this video! It has a lot of useful tips for running a successful Kickstarter. I have been thinking of doing a Kickstarter at some point but it felt so overwhelming. Your videos help things feel less scary though. 💜

Thank you so much for watching! It's definitely intimidating at first, but once you run your first campaign, it gets so much easier for the next one since you can use the previous KS as a template :)

I love your videos! Enamel pins are expensive for me right now. Should I try starting with acrylic pins?

Thank you so much! You can definitely try acrylic pins, they're a great way to reuse your art since it could work as an acrylic keychain and pin

I'm still pretty new to tabling at artist alleys but I want to make my own pin designs soon so this is really helpful! Because I have a very small following rn kickstarter is not really an option so it is a bit daunting to shell out so much cash starting out since pins are so much more expensive than prints, which work pretty well for me. So I think kickstarter would be a good option to fund your second pin collection, so people can look at your previous design to decide if they want more of that? Also it's very difficult to decide on a design because it's so expensive. I don't want to do straight up fanart because it feels less creative but you also needs some sort of security that it will sell atleast moderately well so you don't sit on stock that won't move. Also it's difficult to adapt my super-detailed style into something simple that reads well on a pin, so it needs to check that box too... Anyway that's just me rambling xD I want to make sort of a d&d fantasy class pin collections with pins of medieval weaponry health/mana potions etc. but I would have to probably shell out more than 2k to make that happen. I guess if my next cons go super well I can make that work

This and other videos like it are so useful for what I currently plan. I am going to have a bit of advantage since like you mine will be fandom pins, but also I don't have a following so that will set me back some, but worst case scenario it doesn't work and I can try again!

It's no longer "fandom" when you sell the IP (Intellectual Property) of a person or company on products when it is not yours to sell. When a character, logo, design or illustration is under Copyright, and use make and sell products with it, then that is theft. Just because other people do it and get away with it doesn't mean it's ok.
