Great video and great cable management. I'm also a fan of making my own cables and I like things tidy. I will have to sell an organ or two to be able to get your mount though :D

Tha it was make us dig the hobby-hole deeper isn't it? :D It got extremely lucky when I got my hands on this 2 year old second hand mount, for sure! Will keep this as long as I live! /Daniel

Hi Exo, Frosth had a pretty funny comment there! I loved your video, and it is very helpful!. I have 17 USB cables that are not covered here in your video, but they could use a trimming, too! I'm wondering if there is a snap connector for those. If and when I cut them, it will be after I am satisfied with my "rig', since it seems I'm constantly moving stuff and re arranging! Thanks for the vid.

Thanks :) I haven't seen any snap-connectors, but i foud this video on how to make your own USB cables with soldering the connectors, doesn't seem to hard, just a bit fiddly. And with 17 cables, you are in for a treat during the holidays :) /Daniel

hmm, I recently learned that weights should not be hanging out that far from the axis of rotation, or it can cause ringing. Any thoughts on that?

I haven’t heard anything about it, I might look into it, but I haven’t seen anything suspicious on the images :/

@@ExoPhotography1 It seems most manufacturers are recommending it these days. Here's from my AP mount guide: astro-physics.info/tech_support/accessories/mounting_acc/balance-to-optimize-guiding.pdf

Daniel. Do you know what kind of wire gauge ASA uses through the mount? i.e. with the through-mount cabling, can it handle amperage? I have my PC, on the mount too in addition to my camera, powered by the Pegasus Astro Pocket Power Box Advance (10A capable).

I do not know the gauge inside the mount, but the documentation states 7 amp in the "Galv cable" You can read more on this topic in the ASA forum, just check here: www.asa-forum.com/topic/78-asa-ddm85-electrical-wiring-diagram/ /Daniel
