Coach Nathan, I just want to say thank you for making these videos. I just ran the race of my life at Eugene this morning. 2:33:57 chip time. My first marathon was CIM 2022 where I ran a 3:15. Throughout the course of this training block, I listened to a ton of your videos on a weekly basis (sometimes daily) to really soak up all of your knowledge. From varied pace long run tips, 10 day taper, running well below goal pace, and everything in between, your videos were a huge reason I was able to get to this point. Excited to see where this journey continues to go!

@@rundreamachieve thank you coach! Truly hardwork, self-belief, with smart training and and learning mindset from folks better than me, got me here! (also cleaning up nutrition since 2023 to now helped tremendously too. Down about 20 pounds 😌) but again thank you for these videos. Truly! I know they exist in such a small corner of the KZbin world but there are people that watch them religiously like me :)

Coach, I am running now for 2.5 years. I am a very curious guy so I always have tons of questions about running. Your specific videos and your good explanations that come from your big experience are something you can't find on the whole internet, they always answer my questions. So I want to thank you for sharing your information, being specific about it, I really appreciate you man. Besides running I also train upper and lower body with/without weights. Now Im training for Relay race where I'm going to run around 30 km (in 1.5 month). After this race I will train for 3 km. Your videos give me a lot of relevant information, thank you coachhhh🫡💪

Another great video. I always have a problem tensing up from the pain at the end of the race! I have a 10k race tomorrow....i have cut my mileage back this week....very hard track session on Monday then took tuesday off....ran only a few miles on wednesday thursday friday.....am unsure whether i should run today or have it off ? Thanks!

Thanks for your support Lean. Keep up the great work out there. Do a short fartlekt session just to keep your legs feeling snappy i.e. 7-10x1min moderate, 1 min easy.

Just been watching Nathan's livestream from yesterday - great job on your 37:22 yesterday Lean! Was that at the Worthing 10k? I was at the race supporting my friend and girlfriend who were both running the 10k (they both said it was windy too!) and remember you mentioning that you live close to Brighton?

Nathan, love your videos. Any way you can put together a video going over a proposed plan how to recover from a marathon, and then ramp up into another training season, covering timelines, recovery, gradual increase in runs again, distances, effort etc. ? Thank you

Nathan, if you're training again, an "older" runner such as myself (early 40s) would love to see a video or two on your journey along the way. I'm assuming your body doesn't respond the way it did 20 years ago so any wisdom you can impart with respect to that would be especially interesting to me. Thanks for everything!
@rundreamachieve8 ай бұрын
I will make a few in due time sawong107, appreciate your support. I will say I am preparing for a very high level marathon, it has been over 10 years since I have run one but am excited to give it a go again. Body is responding (paces) as it did when I was in my 30s, just have to be patient with this. Wishing you continued success in your training and racing. More to follow.

Do you think the advice you give is equally applicable to a very very slow runner who wants to get faster? My goal is a 6hr marathon and I downloaded your plan. Realistically how much faster can someone get if you put in the physical and mental work during a single training cycle?
@rundreamachieve8 ай бұрын
Some of the most hard working and accomplished runners started where you are. You are just as highly capable as any faster athlete and I think you are going to completely astound yourself by the time you are doing with this build up. Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know how your race went when the time comes. I don't place limits on athletes such as yourself as I never placed them on myself. You are going to do awesome Rebecca! 💪💪💪🙏💯

Sir when I do 6x1k reps in last portion 100-200m I'm not able to increase my speed for finishing last 100-200m plz suggest me workout for this type of problem
@rundreamachieve8 ай бұрын
Try doing shorter reps i.e. 5-8x500-600m instead of 1k reps for 3 weeks and then try your 6x1k rep workout...be gradual with it. Your fitness will come.
