How To: Run for City Council

In Foster City's "How To" video series, Communications Assistant Joronica Vinluan will help guide you on how to access and make use of City services and programs.
In this first episode, Joronica teaches you everything you need to know about how to run for City Council in Foster City. She covers topics such as qualifications and elections, getting started, the nomination period, and much more.
As you watch this episode, please be advised that the dates mentioned for the nomination period are subject to change for future elections years. As stated in the video, the nomination period always opens 113 days before election day and closes 88 days before election day, unless an eligible incumbent does not file and the period is extended five days.
