I believe in courtship/dating to marry. I can't wrap my head around why people date around for years on end and/or with no intent/end goal. Find someone with similar morals, values, ethics, political/religious outlooks, understanding of gender roles, and vision. I think a lot of people tend to be surprised by negative changes due to them being blind to red flags being there to begin with or allowing things to progress in a direction not favourable to them. If you are aligned ideologically, are on point with communication, have the same vision, have respect for one another, are consistent in what you say/do, and prioritise creating solutions not excuses, there aren't going to be obstacles that will hault or change your relationship dynamic.

The womans argument is "I'm investing years of my time with you, so I want to know that if the relationship fails I'm not left with nothing." This assumes that the man is making more money and maybe the woman starts to work less or stops working all together because her man can support her. So she might get comfortable with that lifestyle but then at any moment it could end and she doesn't have a job or any source of income while the man is still steady cruising financially. I feel like at a certain point if the woman is not getting the financial security that she seeks she will feel she is wasting her time and leave. How can you give the woman that sense of financial security without legal marriage?
