You've earned a sub and like, I have a GT 1030 and a Ryzen 3 1200, never had any game to play and i got reminded of rdr randomly, but i knew myself there was no way that i would get it running even on low settings and i remember that there are always settings tweaks you could do for games, in chapter 1 of the snowy mountain, i had about 27/28 fps (i'm guesssing, rdr doesn't have a fps counter, i didn't bother installing one), and after completeing chapter 1 and riding with hosea and charles on the carriage, just by looking at the grass i get like 13-15 fps, doing this tweak fixed both grass for me and gave me a, i would say 10-15 fps boost (i'm not exactly sure how much it gave), but it was definetly much better and made a huge difference, i'm shocked that my gt 1030 and ryzen 3 1200 could even run rdr in 27-28 fps, i instantly thought the second i loaded it it was immediately gonna be 10 fps, no matter the tweak, settings, nothing, but after doing this, it helped, Like i said, you earned a sub and like.

It is a bit dumb that rdr2 doesn't let you go to the maximum settings possible for your PC, instead it just stops you from doing so before you yourself know what the limits are for your system capabilities. For example, I dug out my GTX 950 from my old computer parts and thought it would be fun to see if that GPU could run it. From the base games graphics settings, i knew it wouldn't let me and I was right, but messing around in the folders regarding the settings for graphics options for rdr2 found in the documents section of the file explorer made me think, could I set (for example) the texture quality to ultra, and then boot the game, and I was shocked to see that the game ran quite good for a low end graphics card. I just hope that if Rockstar make a follow-up to rdr2, that they would let you realize for yourself what the limits are instead of the game doing it for you. Either that, or make it so that the game warns you of what you are doing instead of completely stopping you.

After two weeks of trying everything out there to stop my RDR2 stuttering this finally fixed it! My main issue was RDR2 eating up so much RAM and this would then make the game stutter getting worse the longer you played. Changing Nvidia settings in control panel, in game settings even with everything on minimum, Windows settings, resolution, even Bios nothing worked! Process Lasso helped a little and allows you to really see what's going on, setting smart memory rules to clear logs when it gets high helps and CPU rules when processor usage is high also helps. This mod allowed me to run ultra 1920x1080 settings on 16gb ram with a RTX 3060 GPU (laptop) I now only use 2-3gb of RAM with no stuttering and constant 60fps. LIFE SAVER! Instant sub 👍🏻

Hello !! The game works amazingly well after I installed this mod. I have a small issue. The game says it is ,,fullscreen'' at 1600x900 resolution, yet it is not. My game is put in a permanent small window and if I change the resolution to 1600x900 to 1920x1080 it lags again. (ps : I installed the 1920x1080 Ultra textures, since I have a GTX 1650 Ti ).
