I love how you suggested handling a party who refused to interact with the spirits. Giving the players an out even when they refuse to interact with the Obvious Plot Hook could be a real struggle for some GMs, and your suggestion makes for great "bittersweet" alternative.

Thank you! I even like the player-death situation better than the Obvious Plot Hook :)

@@heyitsMattyP Will the twitch streams be put up on youtube too?
@heyitsMattyP3 жыл бұрын
@@jaypea5598 The Twitch streams are a hot mess and should not be viewed by anybody :) So they're up as a Twitch VOD for 28 days before Twitch automatically delists them I think

There are a couple of great twists to the story in this video, thanks for taking the time to make it.

Man I just want to say, I admire your creativity and how well you run the channel. I've been so impressed with how things like having all the info in the description, to links, and pinned messages to the videos themselves being produced & edited in such a professional manner. I watch various youtubers of various channel sizes and I'd say hands down this one is one of the best for incorporating features from youtube. The little bookmarks at the run time to cue cards popping up, to clicking on your 'head/show icon' at the end and it pulling stuff up. May not seem like much but to a viewer, Im just blown away by it. So glad I discovered this channel, and have already watched through all the LMoP as I'm getting ready to run it. Thank you!

Mark, that's very kind. Thank you! I do work super hard on this stuff and strive for constant improvement. Hopefully with the support of people like you, the channel can collect some more eyeballs and get up there with the big boys sometime in the next few years :)

A nice breakdown of a cool and quick one-shot, with a good dash of MP suggestions and flavour. Will definitely look at using this for a non-D&D system!

Thank you! Can't get enough of three-scene adventures. It's a great way to respect the party's time.

I couldnt find blightshade minis, so i crafted my own. Ill be running my party through this adventure tomorrow night. Should be fun.

Wow, your input makes this one-shot so much better. Also, by building competing narratives of hope/anger, this one-shot could serve as a great, RP heavy, character/party building tool -- I'd say it could be ideal for a Session 0.5

Hi Matthew, so glad to see that you did a video about this One-Shot. I'm about to play it soon and I'm definitely gonna follow your advices. I have one question tho : in the original story, the players can free Villure from the mirror and Villure can then help them in combat (which is pretty cool I think). It doesn't look like you incorporate this in your version. Why that ? Any idea how we could add Villure and Zevak in the combats ? Thanks again for your awesome videos !

I miss the crime club series. Are we getting a second series in that line in 2021?
@heyitsMattyP3 жыл бұрын
I can bring Crime Club back! Sure :) I want to increase my video schedule in 2021, and even though I want my mainline content to be adventure guides, I'll need some content to fill gaps which is less writing-intensive like Crime Club
