Shining Spears are pretty good at 100 points. Can steal objectives from very tanky units with their OC, can kill most chaff units with shooting plus melee, are tanky for elves(minus 1 to hit, 4++ after charge or advance, weird wound allocation). They can punch up in melee with 2 damage and lance with 2 and 3 ap on weapons.

The autarch sky running needs to give his unit advance and charge, do mortals on charge equivalent to grenades and be able to join shining spears and warlock sky runners

One good thing about Saim Hann from a lore perspective is that it's clan structure opens a lot of thematic space for players. It opens up the possibility of different clans having slightly different approaches to war or even using different interpretations of the basic Saim Hann colour scheme. The other Craftworlds generally have less diverse societies presented in the lore.

I feel the biggest weakness of these guys are 2+ save armour of contempt, which unfortunately is pretty common. Doesn't matter if you ignore cover then, they're still saving on 2s

I desperately need to make tokens to remind me to re-roll, because I just realized I haven’t been using that ability for the last few games. They were close games, too. I wonder if I could have won them/won more convincingly if I had actually utilized the ability.

Great video. Never really played bike heavy before being an Ulthwé enthusiast but it looks like a fun challenge. Such a shame only Eldrad can cast Doom in this edition. I feel like that would synergise so well with Guide on 9 Windriders with cannons.

My 1k Alaitoc list is heavy on Shroud Runners and War Walkers and a few Rangers, but I also have a fair number of jetbikes. When the codex drops it might well make more sense for me to run it in a "Saim-Hann style" detachment. Maybe even switch out the 3x War Walkers for 2x2 Skyweavers.

The warlock gives stealth instead of cover for conceal.

I remember being miffed when spiders were introduced, they practically replaced the hawks. Getting rid fo their mid-flight grenade drop now doesn't help.

Spiders have been around since 94. Hawks were still used often. What makes you think spiders just replaced hawks?

I have been running 2 big units of bikes almost every game, and they pay in spades. They shred every unit they shoot at. If you add lethal hits with and vipers to the unit it's ridiculous

Storm guardians with a warlock for quicken gives you a 13” move and 2 fusion gun. So they can keep up as they move through walls etc. not a bad choice but I would consider adding the warlock if you are going Storm Guardians

Never get why people think shroud runners fit a Saim Hann list. Banshees are a better fit to me. People seem to choose whats better on the board rather than what fits the theme

Well they are on bikes, they can keep up with the speed and style, the can add bonuses to the windriders shooting
