I was taught that the blade should be about a "ciggarette paper thickness" proud of the side shoes. I usually do about normal paper thickness proudness of blade from shoes. Too much blade sticking out and the mud slides past the shoes and leaves an edge. Sounds like your wheels need oil.

Will you guys do a video using the mud runner

I have a question about butt board... With all of the screws required in each butt joint, doesn't it ruin the vapor barrier because it gets punctured so much?
@drywallnation2 жыл бұрын
We use 1 inch screws when screwing into Buttboard on exterior walls and ceilings so we don't pierce the vapor barrier.

Hi I have a question regarding the result difference between Level 5 and for example Columbia and Tapetech's brand? is there any difference since you have tried and tested the different types of tools?
@morris6571 Жыл бұрын
Maybe the result won’t be as different, but the build quality is better with Columbia and Tapetech. Drywall Master tools are great too

Hi Jimmy! Sorry for the late reply, yeah personally I love Level 5 tools. They make great products at an excellent price point and they have a great warranty. If you're interested here's a link, you can purchase from them directly. level5tools.com/?via=458362 Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks

Not a level 5 finish though. That requires complete coverage of the wall.

I don't know why this tools are very expensive n real easy to break if u drop a box da means u out of 400 dollars n need another 400 to buy another one here in Louisiana there are a lot of thives. We bring our tools home evey day never been rib don't wamt to get rob but yeah way too much money for toola they came out with a new electric pump for all tools this pump cost more than a bazooka da is insane how can a pump cost more than a bazooka smh people need better deals for real

i never sand in between coats, its just more unnecessary work and the finish turns out great. Don't see how people can just sit there and sand in between coats every single time, even less on big jobs. Complete waste of time and more work than what you need to do. If you know what you are doing, pre-sanding is completely unnecessary and pointless.

What's the biggest sticking point? I'm considering using them, but when I mention it I don't get resistance I get more of a *shoulder shrug* "sounds interesting" backto business as usual

@@SublimeWanderers They're the best invention ever for the drywall industry . Until all framers learn how to crown wall studs all the same way in a wall , butt joints will be a pain in the ass . Buttboards were invented so we don't have to wait for framers to do their fuckin job properly !
