How to - Rustler VXL 4x4 high speed gear upgrade

After opening the rustler, I really wanted to test its potential. Upgraded to the optional 17t pinion.
Currently running a 2s lipo, 5200MAH battery in it
Next video will most likely be some parts upgrades for durability..or just bashing and trying to see what I can break

I appreciate this video. I just finished upgrading the center driveshaft after installing the vxl system.... I'm still running the stock 10t pinion but I wanted to see a reference with the 20t... Keep up the videos

What is the gear ratio your using I tried going to my local shop and they seem to be lost on a high speed gearing for the rustler

Wich wrench for the gear because mine does not work

Should be a small hex/allen wrench.

Im running venom batteries I was told to watch out for overheating after running it for about 10 to 15 mins

Lock tight in plastic?

No. The gear is metal. I locktite(blue not red) the set screw for the gear. They’ll back out if not

Yeah it’s pretty straight forward as you pull the pieces off. Definitely worth swapping
