I'm gonna try one of these servos out. They are cheap for sure. I bought metal gears for my rustler and its been fine since, but for the money, I could have got the whole servo that you use. Good job! Good video.

Right on brother thank you, these servos have held up great for me the last couple of years. I always have too problems with the stock ones they either strip or stop working completely like the international boards go bad

@@fullthrottleobsessions I stripped my rustler vxl's in less than 10 minutes on the fist run. Then I replaced the plastic gears and I'd happened again. So I said no way, and got the metal gears. I've had more trouble out of the rustler than any car I have. I think its sorted now, but sheesh, it's been a headache.

Iv been there man for me it was my udr iv had nothing but trouble with it until recently I'm hoping I have everything sorted on it now but it wasn't cheap lol

I want to replace the servo on the Traxxas rustler 4 by 4 but the two screws on the front are stripped what should I do the two screws closer to the back of the car are stripped

Oops that dose happen brother and always make things a little interesting, it really would depend on how bad there stripped sometimes you can take a star wrench/socket and bite to unscrew them if there's something to grab but if not you'll have to find a small easy out to get them out

I was bashing today and doing some jumping then the steering went near fully I’m sure the gear is broken but I might just replace it fully as currently it’s the weakest part of my upgraded rustler do you know any good servos to get in Australia for the rustler.

Ouch I definitely been there many times the factory servos never hold for me its either the gears or the boards iv had quite a few just stop working all together like the boards go bad or something. Iv had great luck with these 25kg servos in my RCs I'm really not sure if you can get them out there but here's a link if you'd like to check them out amzn.to/3rDCGsW

@@fullthrottleobsessions yeah it looks like I can ship them in better priced then the 80$ I was going to pay for 1 at a hobby shop. what steering servo do you recommend for the xmaxx aswell, as I’m getting one soon and I’ve heard the steering breaks easily on them so having parts is always good to keep bashing when you don’t have a local hobby shop.

@@ar12. I hear yah i like to keep spare parts around aswell. I'm honestly not to sure on an xmaxx servo I haven't had to replace my stock one, iv replace the steering arms just not the servo itself yet

This truck holds up pretty good in my opinion man, these servos hold up great i have been running them in a few of my trucks for quite some time now with no issues

Yeah that's a valid question for chinese servos i had a ds 3218 pro and i worked for a year now it's jittering and barely turn back to center even under the car's weight stading still at high speeds the car is all over the palce and the tsm don't really work with it.. the car can't back up and the tsm overcorrects the turns with this servo and send the car flying off the road...

@@drbluexd3082 Good for you i hope it will lasts for you even more!!! 🤜🤛 As i searched the "budget" servos the better ones around 90$ and up so i will turn back to traxxas their best 2255 servos is fast and 440 ounces/inch just 5 bucks more and i can safely use my tsm again... without the car running of the road :D
