Great video! Lol, I’ve got the spinnaker up: please quickly publish the video about how I get it down!

Love this video and great instructions. I learnt a few preparation useful for spinnaker. I also liked use of cotton to tide up the spinnakers !

I had some hairy situations with a spinnaker on a 26 ft boat. Now that I have a 47 ft boat I am a bit intimidated to even get it out. At least it has a sock on it so hopefully it will help prevent the problems I had in the past.

The ATN spinnaker sleeve that I used on a Precision 28 took the intimidation factor out of using an asymmetric spinnaker when sailing double handed.

Although setting a gennaker is less challenging than a spinaker with boom, still an impressive ‘simpel’ explanation on how to deal with it. Thnx!

Thx for the video, but where was the Spinnaker? I only saw a Gennaker...

That's an asymmetric spinnaker, intended to be used between 115-160° twa. A gennaker is way more flat, and is intended to be used between 60-120° twa. You are probably referring to the classical symmetric spinnaker on a pole, which tends to disappear on fast shorthanded boats.

RRS 47 -- you can no longer band or wool kites with anything you will shed into the water as it is litter - biodegradable or not.

Upside down, or sideways… at least the first time…. Usually right after you’ve had a great start, and have to turn down wind for the next leg. Usually the way it goes in J.O.G. lol 😂
