The man works miracles and provided the most perfect instructions I’ve ever followed. Even if the wheels don’t looks worn or any different than your replacements you’re swapping out, trust that you still need to. And might as well do all 4 while you’re in there. Cheers!

Excellent video. Purchased the OEM parts and did the service myself. Changed all 4 rollers, tensioner and belt.. Cleaned out a bunch of lint from the housing and vent line. This should definitely extend the life of the dryer.

Thanks for showing the steps. Made it easy to change out the rollers and the idler/pully. I did not have to deal with the water line nor the heater because I used an open end 11mm wrench (instead of a socket) to get behind the back roller wheels. Unfortunately I forgot to retrieve the wrench before I reassembled the dryer: well at least I know where it is if I ever need it again.

Absolutely the best video on KZbin! Thank you! You just saved me from buying a new dryer, because I was not going to pay $400 for someone to repair my dryer.

Thanks a bunch for the excellent video. Your commentary is punctual and thorough at the same time and your video and angles are exactly what's needed. I'm a proficient DIY'er but this made the job a breeze. I was able to get the back rollers done without removing the rear bulkhead, saved me a few screws worth of work.

Excellent video. I can echo all previous comments on how instructive this is. Saved me a lot of money. I’m now going to check my toolbox to make sure I haven’t left any tools in the dryer like our fellow reviewer. 😂

Fantastic video, your instructions were spot on and exactly what was needed to fix our Samsung dryer. Bought the roller kit off Amazon for $40 bucks. We tore it down replaced all the rollers, pulley and belt. It's as quite as it was new. Thanks for posting.

Wow, hey, I just took mine apart again today (07-03-2020 Friday), and I have Samsung dryer exactly same as yours. And, damned, if the back rollers weren't fallen off the supports. They burned off. I had done repairs at Christmas and greased them -- when I cleaned it last (only 2nd time at Christmas of 2019), but I replaced mine today with new ball-bearing ones. The old just have grease on them, and one was LOCKED and another had BURNT OFF. So, I had to clean everything out, but it's back up and going. It was a late morning to early afternoon job. So, I even replaced the tensioner wheel arm -- to get the new ball bearings. Also, you might eventually have to do that. But, thanks for your video. It made me know that I could open it up and see again what was wrong. People like you give me the confidence that I need to accomplish the task. [Honestly, thank you for this video. Made me know that I could do it.]

I am back for a refresher on doing this and I am once again struck by how easy you've made it by doing this (and other) videos! Thank you. O, and it always seems to be the back rollers that go bad, meaning i have to watch the whole video (just once, why couldn't the front roller/s go bad)!
@ScottMattes3 жыл бұрын
I just got done and that dryer is so quiet now - thank you! Two gotchas: the reason for disconnecting the water line INSIDE the dryer is because there is a water line you gotta disconnect on the OUTSIDE of the dryer (well, I did to get at the back screws in our form fitting washer / dryer nook)! Second gotchya, sliding the exhaust pipe on the back of the dryer into the rest of the exhaust pipe (again, that really snug washer / dryer nook)!

Thank You for the great video! It helped me immensely so I could replace the right rear roller. I could tell which wheel was bad since there was a pile of metal shavings just below it. I heard that the wheel closest to the heater is the one that seems to go bad the most often. My Samsung was a little different: 1) no bracket behind the one wheel. 2) the light connector was up by the control panel instead of by the light. Thanks again - I am writing this as my dryer now is running almost silently.

going through this replacement as well. I'm surprised the rear RIGHT roller mount is so flimsy. the other three roller mounts are well supported. The back right mount is not well designed. when I push down on mine (Samsung dryer), the bottom back metal flexes and slightly dislodges the rear connection to heat tube. That small bracket (you also pointed out in video) is very small and doesn't provide enough structural rigidity. I have to believe this is why my dryer constantly leaks dust. I'm checking the parts breakout to see if Samsung replaced the original OEM back dryer shield to newer version (with hopefully a new/better design).

Thanks for the video. The only inaccurate thing was that there were 7 screws to unscrew at the back of rhe dryer (minute 7:30) - and not 6 as per your instructions. Otherwise the bulkhead wouldn't release. The seventh screw was on top of the air exhaust. Anyway - you've helped a lot! Thanks again!
