Thanks for help in setting up. I notice after setting up motion detection that, in playback, the period when motion is detected is shown in red, which for me, who's set up a camera to watch wildlife in the garden but don't need to bother with emails, is pretty useful!

Hi there. How do I delete footage without formatting the harddrive?

@@calvinjacobs2871 we can't delete the footage without formatting the HDD. The system will overwrite when the HDD storage is full, hence there is no need to manually delete the footage.

@@SanscoDirect Thank you very much for clearing it up. What I also noticed is that when I shutdown my DVR, , it doesnt switch off. I can hear my HDD is still on. Is it safe to switch it off at the main plug?

@@calvinjacobs2871 shutdown will not completely stop the DVR, The DVR will keep recording. If you don't need the DVR running, please power off the main DVR.

Hmm My 1st cameras mic work fine and gets recorded however the other 3 cameras mics dont record is there a setting i have to change to have all mics record?

I just have mine recording 24/7 and it records about 6 weeks of footage then writes over the footage. All this time I thought the clear area was what it recorded not the red area, good job I didn't set that up and just record everything instead, lol. Is there a way of moving the time from top right of screen to top left or into a blank channel that has just a black screen so time doesn't obscure any part of the images, thanks

Dear Friend, I have Deatti system that is very similar to yours. Same metal bos, very similar vidieo interface. I tried for a few days to get the motion detect to work but no success. No buzzer. Girl at Deatti was very polite, but I do not think she understood the problem. I took the cover off the box to discover there was no buzzer just an empty space on the board. Next I took the buzzer from my original unit and soldered it to the new unit. It would buzz now at reboot but still not at motion alarm. They offered me £10 for compensation, but that wont make it work. I think the motion alarm must have been a nuisance so they disabled it and nevey told anybody. I wonder did it ever work on your unit. Regards David.

Hi when you are on the motion detect to set the areas to scan how do you get back to the setting menu without altering it? If I try right click it just adds or removes a square. Is it a left click? Tried and tried don't seem to be able to get this motion detection working right. Thanks

This was a great video! I'm not sure if I missed it, but is there a way to view a list of the recorded video files without exporting? I am really sad that system doesn't appear to have a way to view all the listed files. Example: if I'm looking for a file that was recorded on camera 3, four days ago, at 10:42pm, what's the fastest way to find this footage without clicking "previous" or "next" when in playback mode? I appreciate any help you can give me!

Hi there, thank you for the informative video. I have a very similar system here in South Africa, it was sold under the name of Aprica. I'm very satisfied with this CCTV system but I would like to ask about the buzzer option. I want to set up one camera to detect movement around my motor car. I would like the CCTV system to trigger a powerful siren outside once that happens and the buzzer option should be fine for that (with some slight modification of course, added externally). My system does not come with a physical buzzer inside and now I am curious to find out where it is usually connected on mother boards where it does come with such a system ? I will appreciate any help here. Thanks !

You will need to purchase an audio horn seperately. On the rear of your DVR you will find the RCA Audio out connection to attach your audible horn.

@@Spacekriek In the settings for motion detect (I believe it is) there is a checkbox labeled "Alarm out" which is not enabled by default. After connecting your alarm, enable this check box, then test it out.

@@Spacekriek Do not confuse the "buzzer" checkbox in the motion detect settings. This box simply sounds an audible buzzer sound from the DVR unit itself when triggered by an alarm.

@@AmpEazy Noted. Maybe our systems differ slightly, on mine you select things like the onscreen display, the buzzer, email and some other online output. Shortly after I did my first post I did discover the open space on the motherboard marked BZ1. There is, however, no audio out option in the menu. This was a very cheap unit so I will have to make peace with what I have or upgrade eventually. Thanks very much for your interest anyway.

if you have bought this product or zosi or annke same company from ebay or amazon it is dodgy and your extended warranty means nothin if its in the first month return it, it will fail.
