Yes, but I'd highly recommend using a slower charging cable, as long as the charging is limited by the cable the main charger won't be able to send more power. Using higher power will burn ur battery

It absolutely does, it lowers the performance so ridiculously, try to do a geekbench benchmark in low power mode and then try without it, the difference is massive

Great video! I just got the 16 pro and have adjusted my settings accordingly. The worst part is when I wake up in the morning I notice that my stand by battery from 50 percent is at 42 percent over night. I do not charge all the time and I am no longer a power user like I once was (when you are a father, life happens). I love the form factor of the 16 pro 6.3" so I know the battery is smaller but it gets me through a full day and then some but when I leave it off the charger overnight I notice the battery percentage is significantly lower than it should be for stand by time. I check the battery settings and notice find my is 100 percent... why? I know its important to keep find my on but jesus! it doesnt need to do that on stand by. Any idea to fix that? Regardless I have set everything up how you suggested in this video so I guess I will see after a day.

This because you have “find my” activate It should not drain that much battery. Also, do you have Airtag? If so, your phone will constantly looking for it if it’s in bluetooth range. This is a well known bug for many IOS. Either remove it for keep it far enough from bluetooth range. Back ground app refresh? Also, put it on a charger. I charge every night to 100% and over 1 year of use. My battery only drop 4%. This you will have full battery. Or if it’s helpful, look up power saving automation online. Set an automation at a certain time when you go bed, this will activate and disable when your alarm goes off in the morning.

How are you charging it? I don’t understand how people have this happen. I had an 11 Pro Max that I got shortly after it released, gave it away when I recently got my 15 Pro. That 11 Pro Max still had 96%. I got my 15 Pro February 2024 and it’s still 100%. I only use an official Apple brick (came with my 2020 iPad Pro) and the USB-C cable that came with the phone.

Limiting your battery charge to 80% seems kinda ridiculous to me. Even after years of use, your (degraded) battery will still most likely have more than 80% capacity. It’s a good phone but I don’t see any mayor changes to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The always on display the usb c frankly I don’t care about it is not something I can’t live without. The Apple intelligence is frankly none existent. After testing many different phones pixel xl 9, one plus 12, iPhone 16 pro max. I come to the conclusion that the pixel xl 9 is the most useful phone along with my s24 ultra. I might have to return my iPhone 16 pro max and go back to the pixel xl 9.
