Predatory mites dont move around much at all, they will spread across a couple of plants if they are touching but don’t fly or cover a wide area which is why you see sachets on every other pot etc. They do almost always require quite high humidty to hatch and keep hatching over the 4-5 week period the sachets are viable, this is why some opt to place their plants in a prop box.

Maybe cake collars would work as an extender? Punch holes across bottom and use clips to secure 🤔
