Is it truly necessary to render after trimming off the first few seconds from the original video? I remember using QuickTime Pro to easily trim off the video using the sliders at bottom and use save-as/export as a different filename using the same file format, and that's it. In other word, there shouldn't be any need to re-encode the trimmed version. Is it possible to skip re-encoding/render when trimming a video within Da Vinci Resolve?

Great Tutorial but unless I'm mistaken, this only works in the Studio (Non-Free) version, and most people who search for tutorials such as these (beginners) use the Free version.

thank you for the tip, there are channels that explain almost everything but do not explain this tip that you have on this channel , usually the programs have the option with the name _record_ and I was not finding but with the tip on this channel I know how to do, I use other programs very simple and they all have the option with the word _record_ is the first time I see a program that to record has the name Render, would be much simpler if you said _record_ , anyway thanks for the tip.
