Hello, Welcome to another How To video. In todays video I show you how to save ANY structure size in Minecraft Bedrock edition. You can save the entire render distance of a realm and more into a structure block with a only a small modification!.

Omg! Thank you so much for this video. I will put it to the test tonight, hopefully... I've secretly dreamed of saving a few of my bigger structures but didn't want to have to do it in a dozen pieces i would then have to put back together later... especially if iwanted to rotate the structure later UGH. just realized you can fully edit the mob spawner nbt with this, super fast spawner, spawner that works with any block ect. Any block spawner doesnt show the entity but it does work until you reload the world

tried it out, it does still work, although it is not happy at really high numbers but i tested a 256 x 256 x256 in 1.19.62 and it loads

You can actually import structures from different worlds through a structure block. I do it all the time on my worlds

Yes you can now, that is a very new feature! But it’s only limited to structures that are 64x64x64 , this method is to expand the structure block so that you can save bigger structures :)

so when i try to load the .mcstructure file into NBT studio it says "failed to load. file did not begin with a '{'." I have the correct version of .NET. do you know how to fix this?

hmm thats odd i have not come across this issue before. not sure on what the cause could be. you could try leaving a message with the owner of the app to see if its an issue with their latest version, other than that I'm not sure on what the issue could be.

on newer updates I guess their preview world editor does the job? but it may have its own limitation

Fixed my issue, this is why the comment was edited. If anyone else is having their structure files come up as 0 bytes, try exporting to a folder not backed up to OneDrive

can this be doine on mac? also on windows, the game crashes when I try export a structure block file, is there a fix? when it doesn't crash it says failed to export (this only happens on larger files (including 64x64x64)) but not smaller ones like 1x1x1. Otherwise this video was very helpful, thanks

not sure what could be causing the crashes, one thing i do know however is if you are trying to save to a location that uploads to one drive or goggle drive etc. this can cause issues. these services tend to try and upload it before MC can finish writing to it. so try saving to a location thats not being synced. regarding the mac im not sure i dont have a mac to test it on.

confirmed working on 1.19.51 ! i was able to create a 256x128x256 structure block! then I copied that size section from one world (created 65 Mb mcstructure file), then load it into another. the trick is to be patient - loading this many blocks at once takes a few moments. thanks @MRBBATES1 !

How do you save it from NBT studio and import it into your world(s)?

Just open the structure file with NBT studio, make the changes and then click on the save button. Afterward you can use the import button within the structure block to import your modified one

when i load the structure block it doesnt give the x y z and i check it on the nbt application and it says 300 255 300

in the NBT editor there is 2 different cords, one being the location of where the structure block was and the other being the cords in the structure block itself. That being said it should show the cords if you have entered them unless something has changed recently.

You cant switch it, it will reset if you do. You must save and load from different structure blocks, you only need a modified one to save, you can load from any structure block

I'm finding that this no longer works for me. After I save a structure block within a structure block. I edit the exported structure block with NbtStudio setting the XYZ sizes to 300 each. When I import the block and select the block it it is still only 5,5,5. What did minecraft change in 1.20.

i have not tested it recently, but the last time i did it worked okay but i have seen instances where it has not so its hard to say whats causing it at the moment, if i find out i will update the description.

Hey this is really cool, do you think this could work with Structra? Since it uses structure blocks, its limited to 64x64. Highly recommend checking it out. (Its made by Madhatter)

I have seen madhatters structra, it looks really useful but not actually used it so I can’t say for sure without looking. If it’s only limited because of the structure block then it should work but if it’s hard coded to 64x64 then maybe not, I will take a look later on to see how it works :)

@@MRBBATES1 Alrighty, I honestly do love the idea of Structra having a bigger radius as it makes larger builds easier to build instead of making it in separate parts, 64x64 parts that is. This usually happens because when exporting the file of you are save it in a location that syncs with something like onedrive or google drive then it can cause the structure to not save correctly, try saving in a different location and see if that resolves it

this will be a restriction imposed by sony, if they wont let you export it then you will have to find other ways of getting it. I'm afraid i dont have a PS5 so i cant give any examples,

Not easily no, you would have to create your modified structure block on the pc transfer it to your mobile, using a structure behaviour pack and attach it to world, from there you can spawn it in and use it

that would hamper things slightly but not impossible, if you don't have a middle mouse button then you would need to spawn the modified structure block at the location you need it rather than spawning it in and using pick block to pick it up.

@@dhananjaydhiwar make a structure block that If it's your build and gets as big as possible, then where that one ends, make more just like that until the entire build is covered, once that's covered just save them and then fill in the build with the structure blocks like puzzle pieces

Ive always used Amulet... Save the structure (mcstructure) Put it in the BP/structures/ LOAD Or IMPORT button on structure block, select the .mcstructure file from a folder.... then click load it..... so there are 3 ways I suppose then. 🤔
