If you use AC wisely, u will not get much bill. I strongly feel all members of family shud enjoy sleeping under AC. Usually few members of family sleep in bedrooms where AC is usually installed in normal Indian houses whereas other members usually sleep in non AC rooms. So it shud happen all of the house members try to accommodate their mattresses or beds in the AC bed room if possible at least during hot summers and by doing that you will sufficiently save your electric bills. Also by doing that you will save money on usage of ceiling fans or coolers used by other members. Further you can set your ac temp. to 26 degree and above or you can set in sleep mode to get optimum coolness. Also u can set timer on for three or four hours after you go to bed, so that AC automatically gets off . Keeping filter cleaning will also help much. Importantly see that room is fully closed so that cool air doesn't leak out. The above parameters if one follows definitely save lot of electric bills.

It doesn't effect the electricity consumption on same meter. But if you distribute 2 ACs in two meters the total consumption per month per meter will me less. Most govt charges eb bill as per the slab rate. So you'll fall in lower slab and hence you'll end up paying less.

Best tip: in hot days, use at full power at the beginning for 15-20 min. And then run at 40-50% (1 person in the room) 60-70% (2 people) 80-90% (3 people), And at night use sleep mode - run at cool mode for 2-3 hours and fan mode for the rest.

Continuously using ac for 2 hours is better option then turning on/off 2-3 times in 2 hours. I experienced all the points covered in the video and it will reduce the power consumption by almost 50%. Do as he said in the video, u will find it very helpful.
