Alex. The ReviewtechUSA segment was not yours to commandeer. The subject was clearly something for Pat to answer do to his close ties with the individual. The 20/20 interview format where you felt the need to interupt every 10 seconds to ask how he was feeling and then chime in with your own feelings were not helpful but infact were confusing & more so frustrating. Please stop doing that and let each other speak uninterrupted. Not every subject is about you.

For the record, people weren't upset at the existence of a Diablo mobile game, they were upset for the downfall of an amazing company. I always assumed Pat and Ian didn't have the context about how far Blizzard had fallen (and is still falling) from where they used to be, Diablo Immortal was a spit in the face of all of its fans. It's also true that the fans eventually got Diablo 4, which was riddled with problems, and showed once again that Blizzard didn't have it anymore.

The GameStop Retro stuff is pretty lame but it IS something they should be doing. It basically just means they carry older games and they have a section for them. The selection is limited and a lot of them don't have the original cases. You are better off still going to get an indie store. Retro isn't going to save a store when the market that buys those games are collectors and cares about condition. I think they are just a dying business and there's no saving them unless they really, really shrunk to where there's one store per area. The model of there being 5 in one city isn't sustainable for what is turning into a niche market.

This was just brutal to listen to. Alex being a conversation killer aside, the whole Diablo mobile/RTU discussion set off my bullshit meter. I went back and watched the "No Pat, People Aren't Entitled Babies For Disliking Diablo Immortal" video and literally within the first minute of him talking he says something like "just because you disagree with someone means you don't like them but that's not true. I like Pat and have met him several times in person and he's been nothing but nice to me." He mentioned the CU Podcast and how he was a subscriber and that he enjoyed Pat and Ian's content. Then he went on to make his points which I think were/are valid. Maybe I would be more sympathetic to Pat if Alex let him f'n speak but Pat really came off poorly here. He and Ian were 100% correct with the debacle that was the Intellevision fiasco and Tommy Tallarico seems like, no IS, a huge scumbag. Furthermore, Pat was perfectly in the right to call out all those Amico shills which just so happened to include RTU at one point. However, Pat isn't above criticism and that particular video RTU did regarding the CU Podcast take on Diablo Immortal was perfectly fair regardless of the drama surrounding it. RTU also criticized The Immortal John Hancock as well in another video and that apparently triggered John Hancock even though the criticism in that video was fair as well. To John Hancock's credit though he did own up to his overreacting with DMCA claims. Pat still comes off as jilted and unable to listen to criticism after having listened to this podcast. Those valid criticisms don't speak on behalf of the character of who RTU is and frankly I don't care. He may very well be a scumbag and Pat and Ian may have legitimate reasons for disliking Rich but I wouldn't consider what RTU solely said in that Diablo video to merit such eventual vitriol. Again, if Alex would have STFU and let Pat explain some more maybe it would clarify thing but every time I've seen this specific topic brought up it tends to reflect poorly on Pat and Ian. Pat, if you want to put it out there just put it out there and be done with it. I rarely give out dislikes to videos unless they're just blatant propaganda but this got me to click on dislike. My opinion isn't terribly important and the wall of text I wrote might be considered completely unnecessary but I felt it was worth putting out there. Judging by the other comments you can at least consider talking to Alex about how awful his conversation skills are in this type of format before having him on again. As for spilling the tea on Rich. I dunno dude. Shit or get off the pot.
@HarakiriRockАй бұрын
Rich talked shit about Pat and Ian several times over the years, it wasn't just a one-off criticism over the Diablo incident. Plus the only reason he criticized them to begin with was because everyone else was doing it. He's notorious for hopping on bandwagons and flip-flopping to whatever the popular opinion is.
@dtcharoАй бұрын
@@HarakiriRock That sounds correct but I’m specifically talking about the Diablo Immortal incident and only that. As that video response changed the dynamic between their relationship to discuss anything beyond that seems moot. I’m only commenting on the topic Pat mentioned in this podcast. If he did a complete breakdown of how RTU is a self destructive narcissist then I would likely agree. However Pat’s framing of the Diablo Immortal video was incredibly suspect in my opinion and having rewatched it my thoughts haven’t changed. I don’t know Rich or Pat personally nor do I care to. I’m just here to give my $.02 American 🇺🇸 freedom units on this specific topic and go on with my day. I doubt Pat is going to lose any sleep over what I’ve said. In the grand scheme of things I am an ill informed asshole on the entirety of their feud. Still, I don’t think RTU needs to apologize for making a response video that was rather tame. Alex is having a normal conversation with Pat. Nothing wrong with that. The ISSUE IS: this is a PODCAST, so you guys need to space out the conversation a bit without so many interruptions. In normal conversation we typically go back and forth since we know each other and can fill out each other thoughts a bit... but on a podcast, the audience DOESN'T know every story and need to hear context. In a way, the back and forth have to work more like an interview or debate where each person trades-off speaking. It's important to allow each other the breathing room for anecdotes and a bit of visual storytelling thru their exposition. I feel like impulse control of Alex (given his age) is a bit lacking. You gotta hold on to the thought you want to say for a bit buddie, and let Pat get a full thought out to the audience. The constant bouncing back and forth, breaks it up too much to follow easily. I hope this advice helps. 👍 PS: Please Alex, work on your "like" habit a bit. For the quality of the podcast. It's also a bad habit in general. If you can work on it, most of us will be very appreciative. And congratulations on your wedding!

Sale game informer in store. Blame the gaming market with too many crappy games and not enough physical games in stores. We need to hold the gaming companies for the reason GameStop is now hurting. Have a small store with just toys and then a game store with games. Got to bring back Wii , 360, and PS3 games if you can. But overall we need to shut down a lot of stores too many stores and not enough games. Plus companies used to make games the customer would play. Stop making live service games and get back to single player stories and leave the sexual identity and pronouns of the character out. Not every game needs to be online to play.

You called the people against DI whiny babies lol. It was a really bad take, everyone agreed it was a bad take, and even here still you can't admit that. Annoyingly, I think most would have agreed with the general sentiment of DI being a bad game, and there's no reason for these fans to overreact against it, but instead you two went way overboard for no reason. I just don't get it. It's like Trump never admitting he's wrong. Rich's terrible behavior aside, the beef began with your bad take and your unwillingness to admit it, and your sour reaction to that criticism. An interview to clear that up would have been very helpful, instead you both stuck your heads in the sand.
@NeoDragonKnightАй бұрын
I agree. Ian and Pat have a pretty good moral compass, and I 97% of the time agree with them on issues. But I disagreed with their DI take, but I was ok with disagreeing with that one right up until Ian started to get heated. In particular his "They don't owe you anything, You deserve less" comment completely flipped what would have been simply a talking point/opinion, into WE ARE ALWAYS RIGHT and are THE Justice lords, and you guys concerns are bulls#$% territory. And its unfortunate because they totally missed the point in that it was the big picture of DI being a signaling point that blizzard was being destroyed by Activision with DI being a cheap cashgrab without the quality Blizzard was known for and the Blizzard of old would never have done. And it made their take age even worse with how Blizzard has indeed fallen since that point that everyone was worried about. And the defense that was brought up was that "well Ian is always like that and wasn't serious" but really, he wasn't in that moment and it was pretty obvious if youve listened to them for years. Listen, I love Pats podcasts, and still do and will still listen to even the bad ones but that was the one time they really made me question if they were able to take an L as they constantly remind us of their Ws, or in other words, they can dish it out, but can't take it when the roles are reversed. Rant done, still look forwards to Pats podcasts every week, no hate, just honest feelings on that matter years ago.
