My experience with both mods: -Frontier: Go to rescue myself from being crucified, glitch through the stairwell. No prior save could help me. -New London: Game crashes at the 30 minute mark, only one prior save. So yeah, that was something...

A community of people so obsessed with NV that ironically they just made a shittier version with COD influences. Fallout London seems to be a very original project untainted by an obsession with fallout 4.

Flaws and all, the NCR campaign was something you HAD to experience at least once. Such a crazy acid trip of movie/game tropes in a 20-ish hour experience. The map was cool too and the original weapons, vehicles, and armors were awesome too.

If you ignore the NCR main quest, perhaps doing the Legion one instead, and focus on pure exploration, it's a decently solid experience. Slave Harbor is also quite enjoyable.

@@darthjekyll3648 The Legion main quest functions similarly to how the main factions do in the base game, where you are tasked with encountering other smaller factions in the wasteland. I wouldn't say exploration is limited in the base game either, but the Legion questline closer emulates its counterpart in the Mojave, therefore complimenting exploration the most. The others briefly do, but the Legion also gives you some more villainous approaches.

I personally had a really good time with it. I think the best of it was up until the outer space stuff and ending I could have gone without. Technically speaking it was a technical masterpiece with some of the scenes and the vehicle combat and there was a LOT to play through, I was on it for about 30hrs

Unfortunately I locked myself out of both after deleting all prior saved so my 40 hour play through was stuck in the frontier

I love this mod tbh, the drivable vehicles and the story was decently good plus how you can drive tanks was badass. Despite all the bullshit criticism of the sexual content or whatever, I can care less about all that. I love the dark gritty snow atmosphere that just nailed it with true post apocalyptic grim atmosphere I was aiming for tbh. Minus the horror part where the spider shit and the overall thing was sort of overwhelming and rediculous. I liked the horror aspect of the hanging bodies and the mannequins chasing you, it was creepy but cool but the dogs chasing you and the spider including the big ass black figure was lowkey annoying. and that last thing where you have to fight the bot thing was RIDICULOUS I wasn’t a melee build so my character was fucking weak when it came to hitting it with melee weapons since I was a strong with guns.

Having played the "current" version not too long ago I can truthfully say its not. There are good parts, the worldspace is amazing, the vehicle driving is cool, and it was relatively stable for me (years and years after it launched of course and using a bunch of NVSE fan fixes for stability) but having played the version without all the "smut" drama it just makes the problems with the base game all that more obvious. The NCR questline in particular was bad, cut scene heavy Call of Duty ripoff that just plain doesn't fit the Fallout world. The Crusaders were boring as a faction. The Legion at least looked a bit cooler then the Mojave version. Horrible weapon designs, masks from Killzone in the game, missing icons (though there is a mod for that), an entire companion silent from the voice actress asking to be removed, and some really bad creative decisions, its not a great mod. Which is sad, what is good like the worldspace and driving is downright amazing.

It's a great mod. Enjoyable, however Id change the liberator being planned for the legion so General could finally send the ncr boys home. Rancor plan is to use it against the NCR and betray the general. Id also add a focus of the Crusaders Joining the NCR Exiles and alliance to rebuild the frontier to a thriving civilization.

It was a technological breakthrough and paved the way for KNVSE as well as bringing actual driving mechanics into fnv, but do to the absolutely god aweful petty bullshit from some of the authors and the complete mismanagement of the mod as a whole, we will never see the driving mechs as a fully polished standalone feature and the mod requires a completely outdated version of JIP or ROOG that it is essentially unplayable at this point.

I mean I used to laugh at the g00ner cringe but it's been years..I'm tired of hearing about snakes and deathclaws and Blackthorne's intense Courier s1mping. So frustrating how some promising modders and left NV completely because they'd be associated with the sh!tshow or were entirely burnt out. Some didn't have anything to do with the project and contributed genuinely good features, only to just up and leave in the end. Honestly maybe trying to make such a huge-scale project was a mistake. I liked Scrapz at least.

they did go beyond in the technical parts, but the writers really went way too far with the forced fetish crap and star wars sci fi crap. the frontier couldve been a winter wilderness survival story mod. this is more of a reason why not all modders need to work with bethesda, they go too far with stuff and add in stuff which breaks lore and ruins the setting. its like if the modders get work on elder scrolls 6 and for some reason, there's a settlement full of dwemer who somehow invented gunpowder and made a dwemer musket.
