One of the best ways we save money on organic produce was to sign up for a CSA for a local organic farm. We offered to have our porch and our home be the pickup for all of the shareholders on thursdays. The beauty of it is that we are allowed to keep all of the shares that are not picked up. Over the years this has translated into a plethora of beautiful fresh organic produce at no cost. It has been so abundant that we are able to share much of it with those in need as well.

That’s what I do is go to different stores to look for the deals on organic meats and things. Make more from scratch especially salad dressings, Sprouts had great deals on meats and produce too

We have a grocery outlet where I live so I feel really fortunate! They get different things in and don’t always have what you need so I have to shop around the different sales at all the grocery stores, but the outlet is amazing because I’ve found organic foods super cheap and I mean CHEAP! they get foods that don’t always sell at the major stores and a lot of the time it’s the fancy stuff that I’m interested in. I can’t afford to buy those the major grocery stores! I’ve found organic frozen berries $1 a bag, organic chickpeas, kefir, Greek yogurt, etc. I go every week because they’re always getting something different! It’s like a treasure hunt!

Hi Christine😊 Thank you so much for this lovely video. I truly enjoyed it !!! It was very helpful. Lately, I have been looking for ways to save. If you don't mind, could you please share how you made the apple and pear dink. How much should be consumed in a day or perhaps you can do a video. I would love to make it. Thank you❤

Hi Dee! You are so welcome. Always so nice to hear from you, and I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed it. Yes, it’s always good to save. I used this but it doesn’t give exact measurements: mindful-japanese-cooking.com/enzyme-juice/. I might make some variations and try other versions that use some natural sugar, no water and longer fermentation. Good idea to make a video about it!

I measure out 1/3 cup of each and then add 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 50 minutes, lightly covered. Strain it and sweeten it to taste. Sometimes I stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil or tahini while it’s warm to give it a little richness.
