I have gone to a bidet and reusable toilet paper. I suggest people research it. It is so much better for your pocket book, the environment and your bottom. I am a traveling nurse and literally place my bidet into every home, airbnb or long term hotel in which I live during a contract.

Sign up for your local grocery apps to clip digital coupons. I have save so much money by having my wife and kids also sign up and take advantage of those coupons to fill our pantries and freezers. We stock up on goods that will not perish right away and we have learned that by doing this, we all eat healthier cause we make our food at home. Also look at the clearance rack for goods that are priced just right.

I am disabled and on a low income, so I have gone to reusable items. Family cloths instead of toilet paper (repurposed from the good spots of old tshirts), cleaning cloths and knapkins instead of paper towels, reusable water bottle, etc. Since I can't afford a bidet, I use a spray bottle instead! When I need something, I look around at what I already have before buying anything to see if I already have something that can be repurposed instead of buying new. If I can't find something to repurpose, I check out free places, buy used, or clearance, and then if I still haven't found anything, I check out discount stores and if all else fails, a regular store... I check online before I drive all over when possible... @ElAgustin, you are so funny and smart, thank you for these videos! I have always been frugal, but you are helping me 'up' my game!

I used to use cabs and Ubers to go to and from work. The public transportation to get there was exhausting, unreliable and unsafe in Mexico City. During the pandemic they created a bus line that's safe and the bus stop is only six blocks away from my home. I couldn't believe how much extra money I had at the end of the month and it was an eye opener. I'm currently doing a no spend year since December and it's really not that hard. I want to become frugal and I can do it right now

I am a big believer in selling unused items to those who want/need them. There's an added benefit beside the money: you'll have less clutter in your life. Last week I unloaded two vintage sewing machines -- I priced them pretty low because I wanted them out asap -- and sold each of them in just one day. Many things have become very expensive compared to just a few years ago and there are a lot of people who simply can't afford "new" anymore. You're doing them a favor and yourself as well. Ugh, in theory this sounds great. And I have tried it. But-I always seem to get my time wasted by people that ghost you after contacting you, or who insist on seeing an item first before buying it. I’ve even had people show up, and THEN try to haggle the (already low) price, when someone else was turned down (because they weren’t first to offer.) I’m so sick of this.

You give very good advice. I disagree about having more money withheld. That is YOUR money. Why be without it and allow a company have it? You are teaching discipline. Don't let the gov't hold your money, you be responsible with it. Bank it and let it collect interest vs be without it til tax time comes.

I'm invested in VTSAX fund, 401k maxed yearly, HSA and finally adding into a 4.25% HYSA (Ally). I'm on track to pay off my house this September 2024 (7 years total out of a 30 year loan @ 4%). To help reach the goals. I cut cable. I switched to mint mobile. I found a better electric plan. I switched to liability car insurance. I cook my own food. I invested in a food vacuum sealer to freeze vegetables, bulk meat, left overs etc. I buy store brand products vs name brand products. I found cheaper laundry detergent in bulk. I stopped drinking soda. I make my own ice tea. I installed a bidet and saved a lot on toilet paper. I live way below under my means. Lets go 2024.

I love my dividends. They pay out quarterly and usually more of a payout at the end of the year(4th quarter). I keep mine in a tax free account (Canada) but we also have a lower tax rate for dividends if held outside a tax free account. Highest tax rate in Canada is on interest, then lower is capital gains and lowest is dividends. Happy frugal New Year!

I have gotten to realize that we waste a bunch of money in things we do not even need and by not purposing the things we do need. I myself have been on a mission to save a much as possible. My daughter walked in on me in the kitchen cutting Costco napkins in half since the napkin is quite large and can easily be cut in half and used in a more purposeful manner. I have adopted many frugal ways cause as inflation rises, it makes you feel the pinch more causing changes in habits.

I go to the Food Bank right after the give-away. They have many gallons of just expired organic milk I use to make cheese. All I buy is vinegar and salt. I also take the just expired organic pasture raised eggs & sweet potatoes and boil them. Give them to my dog every other day to save $ on feed (both are vet approved but you cannot give dogs eggs too often) I supplement with the dog food. Check with your Vet first, dogs can only have certain fruits & veges and only so many eggs. I also took out the old potatoes and buried them in my compost pile, still getting free delicious potatoes from that. See a KZbin video on how to do that

Cook every meal at home. Utilize portion control to limit the amount of food you cook. I eat meat at every meal except beef. It's too expensive and gives me heartburn. 2 s!ices of bacon at breakfast, a few slices of deli meat at lunch, and no more than 4 oz of salmon, pork, chicken or sausage for dinner. I pad out all my meals with inexpensive starches and fresh vegetables. My stomach gets full at every meal with no indigestion. The financial reduction in my weekly grocery bill surprised me.

I never try to get a bigger tax refund. One yr, we owed the state $32.00 and weirdly enough, got a Fed. Refund of ….$32.00. We just always try to sock money away in a savings vehicle: bank savings account, money market account, 401k, etc.

Yes for me it was reluctance to change, I finally did and paid a lot less for Rx insurance and auto insurance, just PL and PD. Also in this state, if the car is old enough, you can get a permanent LP, I did this initial cost is a little more but not having to buy the LP every year, top end = savings every year. I have a 2006 Toyota van.

I buy almost no paper anything. I buy 1 roll of paper towels a year. I use dishrags. I also switched to using a Tushy bidet and reusable toilet paper. I keep a couple of rolls in case there is a guest. You DO need access to a washing machine and bleach. One of the ways to save money through smaller spending comes from the great Amy Dacyczyn of the Tightwad Gazette. She used to say that it was important to ask yourself the question, "If I am paying twice as much for this item as I would for an alternative, is it twice as good as the alternative?" Turns out when you put it like that, a lot of people don't feel like they are getting additional value for their money when they buy a luxury brand. If you ask yourself the question, "I'm paying twice as much, so is it twice as good?" and the answer is "not really," maybe it's time to scale back and find alternatives.

I (attempt) to say it in a Venezuelan accent and drop the "s." I say "Nos vemos chicos," without the "s." I always though the accent was fun.

I must sound like a grumpy old fart now 😂 It's just...I think that what you are saying should be que tengAS in singular or que tengÁIS in plural because it's subjunctive but no que tengO 🤔 Sorry about that. I am a teacher and I can't help it. It's in my blood to overthink 😂 I might be wrong, though, I am not a native. That's why I asked 😊 Your videos are amazingly helpful and eye-opening. You lost me when you said to give more money to the government so they can hold onto it for upwards of a year completely free of charge. I guess everyone has different ways of handling money, but I like to keep more of my money with me where I can control it to make more money. When you give it to the government to hold onto you instantly lose the ability to make more money with it for at least a year.

In my fully inclusive hotel they gave me loads of toilet rolls so took home and gave me 7 mini travel toothpaste and brush kits took home If run out of washing powder water down some shampoo in a glass pour into soap bit I'm sure won't matter if cold wash Washing sponges cut up and use our section at a time Disinfect divide into 3 bottles 1 for kitchen 1 for bathroom 1 for toilet Get some money boxes Use club Point card for supermarket but be careful not overspend Register for free gifts on birthday a few months before Can get from company Free chocolate Free toiletries Free drinks etc And nice to collect them Declutter in cooler months its easier If a garden try and do some work yourself before garden man ie half Jsn 24 uk loads of deals suppose similar your country Please share If want chicken but don't want to use gas sometimes Maybe buy cooked chickrn from shop plus raw veg pepper's etc Radio with battery not plug in one cheaper than TV sometimes as batteries cheap Reading Free Coffee shop warmer thsn house Charge up phone or motorway charger etc
